ClutchFans Game Thread: Clippers @ Rockets 5/12/2015 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 5)

Man Grizz are losing but at least they are showing some fight. I respect that.

 

I think that happened at the game we played the Wizards but I can't remember.

 

Every other higher seed in the playoffs were down 2-1 going into game 4 on the road, they all won. Rockets get blown out.

Please rectify the blowouts with a win Tuesday. Dont go down like a gaggle of vagynas.

 

If I could sit in the locker room with the team before the game and say anything, I'd tell those guys to do whatever it takes. You're never going to have this team together ever again. That's the way it works. Do this for each other because this team will never play together ever again if you don't. That's the NBA.. have no regrets. Don't let this thing we have called 'hope' die. Get out there and win this one.

 

If I'm Mchale I say do not intentionally foul Deandre...ever.

He has to get this team thinking they can win against this team first of all. You are not going to inspire anyone to play basketball if your strategy is to hack Deandre Jordan in the 1st qtr. You won't, you are telling your team that they are not good enough to play against those guys, even if they are not you still can't have them believe that.

What i have liked is that Harden's minutes are way down on last season's playoffs and it has improved his shooting a lot

 

only do it in the last 2 minutes of the first three quarters

 

Let's be honest here The Rockets have only one roll of the dice left and that's going to the Great One to inspire this team.

If you don't know who I mean by the great one then I mean the one and only Hakeem Olajuwon. If I am Morey, just before the Rockets leave their locker room and head to the court. I get Olajuwon in that locker room with the PLAYERS only and no coaches or staff or anyone else or any distractions. Just Olajuwon and the players.

I get him in there and talk about the situation 20 years ago against the suns where I think the rockets blew 2 games of being up 20 points and ended up being down in the series 3-1. I get him telling them that even at that point there was still belief the Rockets could win that series even though their confidence took huge hits letting 20 point leads slip away. I get Olajuwon in there to tell these guys that at 3-1 its not over yet and that if they want to win this series its going to take all their heart and determination as not only individuals but as a team. I get him in there just to be a leader and someone to inspire these guys to lift their games to the highest of peaks that these guys can get to.

Because sometimes it takes a legend to create a legend.

 

win or lose. it's still the rockets i am rooting for.

Coach, we don't know if its your knowledge isn't enough to coach the team or the players haven't been listening to you. But for sure either one is a problem. My advise, call for advise or even pay someone for help, because whatever you had been telling the players just didn't work. Im sure Pop has nothing to do and is just sitting in his living room...call him. Asking someone for advise is part of effort...dont be ashamed.

 

Whatever. I'm so done with this season. What a disappointing second round.

Honestly I'd rather us just lose. If we somehow win we will get blown out by 40 in game 6.

I thought game 7 in 05 was bad... well we just had two of those games back to back. Unbelievable.

Harden needs to be uber aggressive and fulfill his role. No more setting guys up and picking his spots. Good things happen when he's doing those things and the Rockets only chance to win. "Dance with who brung ya"

James needs to shoot the ball 25 times with mostly jumpers.

Watch McHale roll out the same god damn starting 5 again. Does he not know he can make adjustments to the lineup before games?

Why not start Brewer and Smith with Harden at point.

Harden, Brewer, Ariza, Smith and Dwight matches Clips athleticism and helps Brewer and Smith get going early.
