The offense has no fluidity, the defense is lost, the players are deflated.. etc etc. The official end of the season is fast approaching. The crap thrown at the wall thus far has been futile. However, the series isn't technically over.As opposed to taking the fetal position... what would you like to be done for game 5?Of course, consistent effort and execution is needed no matter what. I'd change the 8 man rotation. Starters: Howard, J Smith, Ariza, Harden, Johnson Primary bench: Jones, Brewer, Terry Sparingly: Capella, Prig, Pap Rationale: Jones strengths are in cuts and 2nd chance, h/w he cant finish over big athletic defenders AT ALL. I think he would do more with the 2nd group. Meanwhile, Josh Smith is the same player at any given time. (for better or worse) Johnson may inject energy on defense while not needing to be a viable scoring option as a starter. Meanwhile Terry can give you the offense off the bench which is desperately needed. I wouldn't start Brewer is needed as the back up for both Ariza and Harden. ULTIMATELY EVERYONE MUST PLAY MUCH BETTER! DAMN IT IS FRUSTRATING!
Can we hire Rick Adelman in the middle of a playoff series..imagine if we actually set screens and ran set plays for once..
We have to change it up. I say put Smith and Johnson in the starting line up. JJ is getting free on these three point shots due to Terry coming to slow off picks to pick up JJ. Need someone to stay attached to JJ. Jones ain't doing much for us this, so why not just go with something else?
Would start Terry, Harden, Brewer, Ariza, Dwight. Have Terry guard Barnes since he seems to be struggling chasing JJ around. Have Harden guard Cp3, and switch all screen rolls with Blake. He's too strong for Blake to back down every possession. Have Brewer check JJ, but tell him to be disciplined and not shoot every gap. Have Trevor do his best and guard Blake, fronting frequently. Hack a DJ if this doesn't work. Offensively, space the floor and run a ton of screen roll with James and Dwight. And fire away from three if Blake/other guys collapse too hard. If Brewer's shot isn't falling, replace him with Pablo.
Start Harden, Brewer, Ariza, Smith, Jones and Dwight. Run and gun with Ariza and Brewer spotting up. Smith, Jones, Dwight crash boards extra hard. Terry first off bench.
Well if we get to play 6 people on the court at the same time we might actually have a chance of winning this series
