Agreed. Was just reading about his injury. Of course there was nothing mentioned about shutting it down for the year, but wouldn't surprise me either. This is obviously risk number two you take when waiting so long to land someone. I can appreciate being flexible and putting yourself in position to land another big name, but sometimes you may just have to go for it, sign/trade for some immediate help, hope the team gels and makes a deep run. So many variables on being able to win a title.
Congrats on signing Dwight Howard! Enjoy a breaking down Dwight the next two years eating up cap space. Rockets couldn't attract anyone or give their money away post-Yao pre-Harden. Hell, they couldn't give their money away this past summer!
Why do you post so much, only to troll? Never understood it, perhaps you are trying to be the next Woj with your twitter breaking news?
At this point, I don't know if I want to go after Durant. A year ago, I would have been the first guy to sign up but now I'm getting paranoid with the thought of the injury bug hitting this team hard again. Something is obviously wrong with Durant right now and I don't want another T-Mac (or Dwight, if things don't improve long term). If we try to get him, fine. You have to, honestly, for the chance of what he could bring to this team. But I'm always going to hope that his body can hold up game to game, season to season. Of course we still have over a year to even begin thinking about it but can we get stars that don't have any injury concerns?!
Sometimes I only see you as the dude who posts tweets and not as a Rockets fan. Don't know why you always have something negative to say from time to tome.
MAn...I want KD...But with our luck he'll bew injury prone too when he comes here Smh. THis is scary.
Yes it was. He told Scott Brooks to take him out of the game because "I can't move". After the Yao Saga, no thanks. http://newsok.com/oklahoma-city-thunder-thunder-monitoring-kevin-durants-sore-foot/article/5395301
You also run the risk of your own players breaking down (Dwight Howard) while you wait for the perfect situation. Smart moves that build assets and flexibility might preserve your job year after year while you string fans along, but sometimes you've got to cash in.
KD had the same fracture in his foot that Yao had, right? Wow, that's why you don't wait (or trade away Harden) but cash in while you have the chance. I have a feeling this year was our window, and we're going to miss it.
We also need to take care of Harden. He's gonna break down too prematurely from all the work we ask him to do. That's why I think he's not driving into the lane as much. He's more judicious about it.
