As someone who has followed both teams, I think people are not giving enough credit to Washington as opposed to railing on Atlanta. The Wizards were absolutely terrible offensively the second half of the season. Come playoff time, they've played small ball much more and shot a bunch more threes than normal. This is just observational....let's look at the data.

Regular season 3's attempted per game:16.8 (making 6.1 for 36%)
Playoff 3's attempted per game: 24 (making 10.7 for 44.4%)
That and Otto Porter has gone from 20mpg in the regular season to 32mpg in the playoffs increasing his FG% from 33.7% to 50% and just flat out ballin.
Paul Pierce is also on fire.

The Wizards have just played completely different basketball in the playoffs, like they've been either hiding their game plan or just decided to switch it up. It's been really interesting.

This is true. If we were in the East, we might advance deeper in the playoffs, but you have to still have to beat the best in the West before you're a champion. There's no point on skating by on a technicality like conference if you're just going to hit a buzzsaw in the end anyway.

Ramon Sessions, Austin Rivers and now Will Bynum

Sometimes all you need is a good 1st step and finishing ability.

Man, Beal is doing work this game (and series). Wished Harden would attack the basket like him all the time.
