The Rockets lose to the Mavs in the first round if Lin were still on the team, FACT. People here complain about the media, and the narratives they drive, but that's what they're doing with McHale. This team has simply over achieved with what they've got. Through injury, the Rockets have gotten weaker in positions they had to upgrade, but weren't able to this season. Suddenly, this is a championship calibre roster that's been squandered?
No kidding! What's worse, McHale is the one that really can't survive, now that he doesn't have Lin taking the heat for him. He just coached himself back into the unemployment line.
What's worse is that 148 of your 150 posts on this board are in this thread. So the question becomes, what kind of loser would do such a thing?
Lin fanatics confriming that they are some of the dumbest *fans* of the *game*. Let me hold your hands walk you guys slowly through this... Removing Lin from the team does not mean championship. Removing Lin from the team does, however, improve your team. Which is a proven fact. Took just one season to see the results *laugh*. Without Lin and his signature boneheaded plays, Rockets would have made the second round last year as well and then lost out to the better team. As I said before the series began, the Clipper are the better team and the better team is winning. The defending champions lost to Clippers in the first round. Oh noes!!!!
lawlz. Irony...just throwing it out there. I'll just mirror what alumium man said before, something like.....this thread was created for Rocket fans to talk about all things Jeremy Lin or something something yadiya.
LOL @ Lin fans celebrating Rockets losing in the second round when in just one season they make it past the first round once Lin is not here anymore to hold them down. While Mr. Jeremy goes on to lose his starting spot on a bottom feeder to a a scrub Ronnie Price and a second rounder. Like I said, Lin fanatics are some of the dumbest fans of the game.
Who's celebrating, its been a sad week here. Where have you been? You love to make assumptions. Just assume you will always be wrong. That advice is free, now go out there and see the world.
Yea i mean rooting for mcgrady is one thing, because he had his stints and was physically talented, but this guys fans are seriously off the deep end. They root for him because of his ethnicity only
Agree. You seem to be the only rational poster in this thread(excluding me:grin and yes, including Clutch
Think about what you are proposing. You are proposing that the Houston Rockets, a team that has enough problems taking care of the ball and making good decisions with it, sign a player that already has plenty of problems taking care of the ball and making good decisions. It is not about the money. It is about the culture. It would be a bad signing even if he were to come on-board for free. It is about bringing in the right kinds of players and changing the culture of this team. We need steady and heady players that can take care of the ball, play smart, and make plays. Not one or the other. Bringing Jeremy Lin back into the fold makes things worse. You are basically saying that you are ok with low IQ basketball players on your team. We already have plenty on this team. We dont need to re-add the one that we let go just a year ago. We need to get rid of the ones we already have, like Jones, for example. Also, your proposal to sign him cheap and not let him close games, is absurd. If you know you dont want this guy to close out games, you are saying you dont trust this guy. If you dont trust a guy to close the game, you wouldn't trust this guy on a 8 man rotation in the playoffs either. Why would you waste a roster spot on such a player. You can gamble the same amount of time, money, and effort, on a young player with more upside. Let's face it, Jeremy Lin is what he is. Four years in the league and you know exactly what you are getting out or not getting out of him.
I don't want Lin back at all. Look at all the awesome PG play in the league now like Teague and Conley, blue collar guy not guys who are smart and grind. Not Lin who was a point guard is dumber than chicken. I want the next Conley or Teague, not the next Lin.
Tmac lacked leadership, he didn't lack elite basketball skill. Jeremy Lin lacks everything. a jumper, proper handles, game awareness.. He's only good for being a one trick pony of pick and roll and driving to the lane. Both Tmac and Lin have rabid fans, but I believe the Lin fans are more insecure. Tmac fans they hate Kobe, LeBron, Harden... Lin fans hate everybody
I have to apologize for a comment I made previously in this thread regarding Matthew Dellavedova. I had commented that Matthew Dellavedova might be the only PG that can clearly be considered worse than Jeremy Lin. Matthew, I am sorry!!!! What an epic performance in closing out the Bulls! Sorry Jeremy Lin. Another one has passed you by.
Rockets with this turnover prone, low IQ, mental midget -two first round exits Rockets without him having a great chance to make the WCF Like I said, Lin was always addition by subtraction. It's better to put a vet PG like Prigs who won't lose you games or go dumb in key moments of a game than Lin who single handedly will lose you games. Another dagger in the hearts of Lin fans. 1. First they say Rockets won't make the playoffs without Lin and Lakers would. Turns out Rockets won the SW division and finished 2nd in the WCF. Lakers are in the lottery 2. Next they say Harden is not that good and will suffer once Lin leaves because Lin is not there to take away attention. Harden ends up 2nd in MVP and a bonafide superstar while Lin was a 3rd / 4th string back up on one of the worst teams. 3. Next they say Rockets will be first round losers. Rockets go on to annihilate the Mavs 4-1 while Lin fans are at home praying against the Rockets. 4. Next they say Clippers will blow out the Rockets and Rockets have no chance. Here we are 3-3 and going home for game 7 So STFU Lin fans - You lot are miserable and a disgrace to sports. Your idol who you live through vicariously is a 3rd/4th string back up on a loser team. Rockets are much better off without Lin than they were with him.
^^^^ you are correct on all points. Conversely, they were expecting great things out of Jeremy Lin this season because supposedly.... -coach McHale would not be holding him back anymore. Coach Byron Scott sure fixed that! -superstar James Harden would not be holding him back anymore. Kobe took care of that! -some random "scrub" point guard out of nowhere would not be stealing Lin's starting position and minutes. Ronnie Price and some random second round "scrub". Ooops. Lets not forget laughing them celebrating after Rockets going down 1-3 in series. I mean how pathetic do you have to be to come to Rockets message board to make fun of the Rockets despite the team playing in second round while their idol was utter FAIL all season long? ....and even that got thrown back at them in their face by the basketball gods! As said, Rockets will be playing Game 7 in second round, one game away from WCF, having removed Jeremy Lin from their roster. *laugh* As Clutch has said (see my sig.) and as I have been saying for months now, it truly has been a year of epic FAILS for Lin fanatics. Anything and everything that could have gone wrong for them, has gone wrong for them. Murphy's law should be renamed to Jeremy's FAIL.
