Wiish they had drafted a safety but I get why they didn't after signing two safeties. They still need a third, especially w/o an ILB who is great in pass coverage
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/11/d-j-swearinger-says-goodbye-to-houston/ From ProFootballTalk's view, it looks like he was released.

Same guy that said T.J Yates was released, I doubt he was just let go for free. Once we signed Morris and Stevie Brown I knew Swag was a goner. I'm excited to see how Romeo converts Reshard "the human hitstick" Cliett to safety. This move tells me he's closer than I thought
Agreed. One thing I don't understand though is all the hate from this move on social media from some Texans fans. Don't get me wrong, I like Swearinger's attitude and swagger that he carries, but the guy just plays god awful. Do the people who criticize these moves even reminisce about how many missed tackles or blown coverages he had last season?
Loved the guy's fire and intensity, but that rarely transferred to the plating field. Other than the penalties, and an occasional turnover.
Donuts reports from a reliable source..... swearinger will be on another NFL team next season. All he got.
Another wasted high draft pick. This time a second rounder. Unbelievable. Oh wait. It's the Texans. It's easily believable.
I actually have faith with the Texans. They actually have a coaching staff that is light years ahead of what is seen with our Rockets...;(
