I don't watch basketball any more but the Rockets suffer because their owner is a cuckold type. McHale should have been fired long ago, but probably wasn't due to the tragedy he had with his daughter passing away. Lex put so much trust into a man who has time and time failed to deliver just the Texans owner would. Pretty pathetic.
So Adelman gets fired, but McHale is here to stay??? Does Les not feel this embarrasment? Too much pride to fire a coach after extending him?
I think the vast majority would like to see McHale sent packing ..... I cant stand his offense and the defense has been Bickerstaff & Dunn. What exactly is he , the leagues ugliest cheerleader ?! Who do you replace him with ?! Don't tell me Thibs , he's under contract.
My comments bolded above. I agree with that entire last paragraph. I hate Kevin McHale. This team, these players deserve so much more than this. For only the second time (and by far the best opportunity we've had to advance further) in nearly 20 years we have made it to the second round and look at what has happened. I HATE KEVIN MCHALE.
Thats the thing how has he helped? What in the world did he actually do to make us a better team.....all i see is morey working to get two players who are the best at their respective positions and yet we are getting blown out by a cp3less clippers team? at home no less?....Mchale brings nothing to the table absolutely worthless if we sign kevin love and Mchale is still our coach , we will be posting on this thread same time next year A coach is paramount to a teams success when games are won by a small amount of possesions. We are being handed the worst beatdown in second round history and paul is playing on one leg, let that sink in ....not one successful adjustment through 4 games, everything he does is too late, like he needs someone to tell him what to do Clippers have been scoring 30+ pts every quarter on us yet he didnt think of hacking Dj excessively until game 4?? the worst free throw shooter in the nba Why am i wasting my time , if he's here next year i won't go to a single game knowing this teams fate in the playoffs before hand...iam done with the management doing what makes life easier for the players and themselves because its easy to play for him, while we fans have to sit through and watch that **** on the court.. Why should we invest our time and effort when you don't wanna do the same on the court (this is the only reason i can muster of y he's still our coach) get TT in here and work these players to the ground both mentally and physically, from the looks of it theres a lot of work to do, aim sick of players not being held responsible fro doing things the right way.....
Won't know yet but there will be better options. You at least have to make a effort and not say "Meh, we can't do any better than this..."

Well said. Very well said. I get the mchale hate I really really do. But what people don't understand is how tough this western conference is seriously. I'm just going to use GSW vs Memphis as an example. Is jerger I think his name is out coaching Kerr or are the grizz a bad matchup for GS? If and I believe it's possible the grizz win the series do they fire Kerr? If the grizz win does that mean Conley is better than curry or could it be the grizz just played harder as a team? Another example if OKC had got the 8th seed and pushed GS to 6 maybe 7 games would brooks have got fired? I mean I can go on and on. Coaching is playing a major part in this disastrous series no doubt about it. And I'm not trying to sound like a mchale supporter and I admit I am but I have finally got on the fire mchale train. It's just there are other major factors playing into this series also.
McHale has fallen flat on his face this postseason yet again. We were favored in this series, and have gotten blown the **** out in 3 out of 4 games. Just a total embarrassment and unacceptable. Huge mistake to give him that three year extension when he hadn't proven jack **** in the playoffs.
Just to be clear here, not attacking you but this idea that I've bolded. You made it clear that you want him gone also... but the bolded part is a argument some people make. Lets explain why it's not valid at all...because the Warriors are not getting embarrassed. Even the undermanned Wizards without John Wall look better than us. We are clearly the worst 2nd round playoff team.
That is true you are absolutely correct the warriors are not getting embarrassed. But where I feel your wrong at and like you I'm not trying to attack you. But saying we are the worst team in the playoffs right now I don't agree with. In the western conference no doubt about it. But you said playoffs and I feel like in the east we would not be. I mean seriously I'm upset too but you think the Wizards would beat us in a 7 game series with home court advantage?
Signing McHale as head coach and then continuing to keep him must be the biggest fail of Morey's tenure here. Yeah, the only way to advance in the playoffs is to replace the head coach. In the regular season, you need talent. In the postseason, you need talent + gameplanning. We trotted out the same plan game after game even when it was clearly not working. No surprises up our sleeves
Pretty sure he was using a form of rhetoric but even then the way we're playing now and getting destroyed I actually have to think twice about it. Quite sad actually.
With a healthy John Wall? Not sure? We split against them in the regular season, I think they could beat us. The Hawks certainly can, it's a situation we won't ever find out any ways but you're right. Maybe we are better than the Wizards but we have certainly put out the worst performance in the playoff. We would fair better than playing against the Clippers surely but I don't think you can say definitely that we can beat any of the 6 other teams.
To all the would-be Mchale defenders out there--it's not that the rockets are losing. It's how they're losing. The rockets are showing absolutely no fight whatsoever. When plan A fails there is no plan B. It's just quittin time.
I hate listening to his in-game/post-game interviews. I've never seen anyone take such a casual approach to coaching basketball. His analysis of what went wrong lacks any depth. I know when put in perspective its just basketball, but now is the time to act like the "world is falling" . I don't know if he even owns a playbook. If he does, I would love to know what's inside.
I love McHale as a person and he's been through a lot in recent years, but his coaching acumen needs to be questioned.
