they only whine about Harden because they are McGrady fans, all McGrady hate anybody who has advanced Harden has McHale Tracy had Doc Rivers, JVG, and Rick Adelman
Scoring breakdown by quarter Game One: Q1: 8pts | 3-5 Q2: 0pts | 0-2 Q3: 7pts | 2-3 Q4: 5pts | 1-3 Game Two: Q1: 9pts | 2-6 Q2: 3pts | 1-2 Q3: 4pts | 0-1 Q4: 16pts | 4-8 Game Three: Q1: 5pts | 2-5 Q2: 5pts | 2-3 Q3: 6pts | 1-4 Q4: 9pts | 3-4 Game Four: Q1: 10pts | 3-3 Q2: 0pts | 0-4 Q3: 11pts | 2-5 Q4: DNP-GOH
When Mike Conley can play superb even after facial surgery and even being hit on the face again during the game, wth James? You're gonna say that refs weren't calling fouls and Reddick was able to stop you? At some point, you're gonna have to point the finger at yourself and change.
This is not on Harden, not solely anyways. He has played within the flow of the game and hasn't really forced the issue. He has given his teammates wide open looks for layups or threes. Problem is, our guys seem to be missing layup after layup (and FT after FT) and the wing players can't seem to hit their open 3point shots. Seeing DeAndre get the best of Howard is pretty sad too. Really expected Howard to win his matchup, but so far that hasn't happened. I know everyone is looking for a scapegoat here, but it's just stupid to put all the blame on Harden. Do I want Harden to be more aggressive?! Sure, I actually hope Harden goes into full CHUCKER mode in Game 5. Maybe thats gonna change things and at this point I rather see Harden take contested jumpers to the role players taking wide open shots. For this team to go anywhere the role players (Jones, Ariza, Terry) and the bench (Brewer and Smith in particular) need to step it up AND FAST!!! Bench shooting this series: 32% FG, 23% 3FG Brewer 35% FG (14/40), 8% 3FG (1/12), 27% FT (3/11) Smith: 27% FG (9/33), 0% 3FG (0/10), 40% FT (6/15) The difference between the Rockets and the Clippers is, that their role players and scrubs (Rivers) are hitting their shots and hell, DeAndre Jordan is shooting a better FT% than pretty much anybody, other than Harden, on the Rockets
Why don't you run down the list of teammates Mcgrady had as opposed to Harden? Why don't you run down the list of opponents McGrady played as opposed to Harden? Your hating is insufferable. You make a fool of yourself time and time again.
He had a PG beside him last year, and he still struggled vs Wesley Matthews. This postseason taught us that we need an alpha male leader beside Harden and Howard. Those two are not enough. We can't expect role players to be the leaders.
Sure it is. But whatever. So is your solution now to trade away Harden and rebuild again? If not, then deal with the fact we have a top 5 player who isn't an in your face leader and has flaws in leadership abilities. Stop being ungrateful.
Bev was battling injuries and the flu and Lin flat out sucked and made some terrible decisions that cost a game. Context is so pesky.... What does Wes Matthews have to do with anything? He's a max type player pre injury. Or you just making up benchmarks? No we don't. Duncan and Pop aren't alpha male leaders. Leadership isn't about being an "alpha male".
I'd hold off the hate on Harden until we see what he can do with a real head couch who can actually implement an offense to get him easier looks so he seemingly doesn't have to shoot 15 free throws or we lose. It's amazing this is what I said we need after the OKC playoff series. Fast forward two off seasons and nothing has changed. ***** YOU MCHALE.
He played with Vince Carter, Yao Ming, Al Horford, Shane Battier, Mike Miller, He was coached by Doc Rivers , JVG, Rick Adelman He played against the Mavericks who couldn't get pass Phoenix in the 2nd round He played against Utah, which got whipped by San Antonio 4-1 Then he lost to Utah again, who lost to the Lakers in the 2nd round He only played 3 playoff series under two coaches This is the truth pure and simple and you know for a fact the person who made this thread is a pure McGrady fan first
ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?! You're naming Vince Carter as a teammate when McGrady was a bench player and not a star? I knew you were a flat out idiot tinman but you're outdoing yourself right now. Why don't you name his list of teammates WHO DIDN'T SCORE ONE POINT IN AN ENTIRE PLAYOFF GAME? How about the teammates on his Orlando Magic playoff team against the eventual champion Detroit Pistons? One thing you didn't put in any of those comments about teams McGrady played, was that they were without their best player for two games - and even when he was playing he wasn't even 60% I am not even hating on Harden. I have in fact defended him a few posts up. But your blind patriotism to hating on McGrady is not only foolish, but so unbelievably misinformed. Well, I think the misinformed part stems from you just cherry picking things to make your posts seem more intelligent but ignoring all the things which hinder your point.
James needs to add more to his game. He needs to be able to bring the game to him when it's not there. And in the playoffs, sometimes it's not there and you hae to be able to will yourself and your team to at least be competitive. Getting blown out twice by a team when CP3 is hobbled is straight up embarrassing. And his defense has been atrocious.
I said it over and over again, at some point James Harden stopped being the aggressive drive and finish player he used to be, now he is just a drive and try and draw foul *fling ball towards basket* or jumper player. Look at Lebron and even DRose, they drive atleast 10-14 times a game, James, drove maybe 4 times tonight if I counted correctly
exactly, Drose and LBJ are true superstars. Harden is just a star. everytime he drove in just to try draw foul, not lookin to finish
