Or you lack the additional brain power to take into consideration ANYTHING other than your own personal armchair analysis.

I think regular season is just the preseason for playoffs, it means nothing when the regular season is ended, except you are one of the top 8 teams in your conference and you are qualified for playoffs.
There is no championship for the top team in regular season other than a home-court.

We literally just did that to the Clippers and they blew us out.

Chris Paul is making mincemeat out of our team because we have ineffectual players in Prigioni and Terry. These guys hit a three every once in a while and do nothing more.

Blake Griffin is overpowering everyone minus Dwight Howard. Tim Duncan would not do the same against our athletic bigs. Unfortunately when it comes to athleticism vs athleticism Blake Griffin will win every time.

Dwight Howard could be our savior against the Spurs. Not a single person on that team could stop him from averaging 15+ boards and 20 points. DeAndre can do just that.

Harden has been known to be a Spur killer. They have Leonard who could guard Harden, thats fair, but leaving a switching nightmare for the Spurs when Brewer and Ariza accompany Harden on the floor.

Last but not least....our bench would have wrecked the Spurs bench. We could be getting a 10 point swing against them but instead we are finding ourselves in a 10+ deficit against the Clippers who have a guy like Jamal Crawford.

We would be able to make this a much more interesting series if it werent for Beverley's injury and Dmo being out. These guys could have been X-factors (ESPECIALLY Beverley on Paul. Paul could still get his points but Beverley isnt going to let him have every passing lane in the world while letting him go to his favorite spots every time)

Dmo would have been a luxury to have in this series. Imagine having that 7 footer who can hit his free throws. Hack DeAndre and force Doc to sit him if he is struggling and once Jordan is sitting put Howard back in or let Dmo do work in the post.

I said it throughout the regular season. Clippers were a bad match up. I wanted the Spurs more than any other team besides the Mavericks. We would undoubtedly be going to the Western Finals

But just cuz they are a better matchup you have the audacity to actually say wed be going to the western conference finals is the stupidest remark I've seen on this board, and oh boy there are a lot of them.. and then to say its my armchair analysis??? ask anyone here and they would say the same thing......you are stupid at basketball welcome to ignore list

If you honestly, and I mean honestly think that we would have beaten the Spurs... Wow. Just wow.

The only team we would've had a chance to advance against (apart from the pathetic Mavs) would have been the Warriors because they're just as untested as us.

You think the dumbest team in the league would've won a playoff series against one of the smartest?

You think the dumbest coach in the league would've overcome the best coach in the league?

You think Tony Parker wouldn't have tore up our PGs?

You think Patty Mills, Belli and Green wouldn't be salivating over the thought of wide open shot after wide open shot?

Because that's what they get on the Spurs. They run a system. They have offensive sets which generate easy buckets.

I'm sorry, there's no way around it. This team had no shot against the Spurs. Just like they have no shot against the Clippers. They more than make up for their lack of athleticism with their +32589723958723958237 in basketball IQ

I don't have privileges to look up other post's from other user but judging by you 200 total posts on this board I doubt you have said it a million times.

The Mavericks were without 2 of their 5 starters. And then the two guys they had start after the starters went down, also got hurt and missed the rest of the series. And that was in in the middle of the series, not having months to prepare. They still managed to put up a better fight.

I guess we will never know dude. I'm pretty sure people thought the Raptors would tear into the Wizards. No need to debate something that will be impossible to prove. It was just my personal thought. My other one just happened to be that the Clippers were a bad match up for us...guess I was right about that?

There is nothing that says you have more knowledge about basketball than I do. There is no way to prove that the Spurs would beat the Rockets and vice verse. It was my own belief. I believe the Rockets would have been too much for the Spurs too handle. Is that an incredible ludicrous thought considering they lost in the first round?? People seem to think that just because the Spurs have had long standing success and they were the NBA champions that they have no weaknesses. I'll say it again. I think we would have been able to beat the Spurs in a best out of game series.

stevie wonder could predict that man, your actually patting yourself on the back....our two weakest positions are their two strongest and they have an elite defensive center.....i bet you didnt predict we lose game 1 without paul though, but we proved we are to mentally weak, and technically unsound and unprepared to have any shot vs the remaining teams in the west....yet u just said we would have beaten the spurs who took these same clippers who are embarrassing us to 7 games with a healthy paul...... you need to take the homer glasses off buddy for your sake

Haha didn't mean to come across as tearing into you man.

    Definitely wasn't the intention.

Many knew the Clips were a bad matchup for us.

I think a few people knew too it was a pick your poison situation because the Spurs present just as many (varied) problems as the Clips.

    We'll never know.

What we do know is this team is first round fodder time and time again as presently constructed and will never be put in a position to achieve with McHale as head coach.

Dude. Have you ever heard people talking about how the Rockets losing to the Seattle Supersonics prevented us from facing the Michael Jordan Bulls? The Bulls couldn't match up with us back in the 90s. Just because the SuperSonics beat us and the Bulls beat the Supersonics doesnt mean the Bulls automatically could beat us. We are a nightmare for a team like the Spurs. DeAndre Jordan is so athletic and big he gives Howard fits and makes Harden think twice about driving. Those factors aren't played into a series with the Spurs.

You're right though. I didn't think we would lose one without Chris Paul playing.
