That last reporter nailed McHale on his BS canned answers. How the hell can you "go downhill" when you keep stopping the game by fouling DeAndre?

 

McHale completely clueless in postgame presser. This is sad to watch actually.

No, it's not. It's infuriating. This is just me speculating based on what I witnessed on the court, but I think this team's quit on the guy. They know he has no gameplan whatsoever to deal with the Clippers and they've lost confidence in themselves as a result. That's why they look so disjointed and out of sync out there.

 

McHale doesn't give a **** about defense basically is what the commentators are alluding to.

(Dwight) Got in foul trouble right away. Trying to see if we could muck up the game a little bit. We came back and had to play small. Tried to get them out of rhythm.

They beat the hell out of us. Our game plan, wanted to go to Dwight, got in foul trouble, then wanted to attack but then let's foul them and slow the pace down and make it a 2nd half game. 2nd half, we missed layups and tip ins and they ran us out.

We're not attacking the series nor finishing. We have not been able to collapse their defense. They got out on us and ran it up on us. They were running 2 man game in the middle of the court and we had breakdowns and they got dunks. Before you know it, they got separation.

You gotta play better. Attack, collapse, finish better, move the ball. Give them credit, we're not playing well. We've had one half(game two) where we played well on defense. They've set the tone. A lot of barking about fouls. Dwight's 2nd foul starts with Barnes hammering him and Dwight pushes him and it's foul on Dwight. Those are the things that lead to frustration. The game has been ultra-physical. We haven't been able to get to the line after their barking after game two.

What wrong with Harden's game?

Nothing. We have to play downhill. We haven't hit stride at all. It's not just James, it's everything. Give them credit. We're not playing well, that's the bottom line. We had a game plan with different match ups we thought could shake things up. All year long, the team has found a way to fought. That has not been our best performance by a long shot. We gotta win a game at home and go from there.

I would say there was a game plan. But there is no adjustment, no coaching on the court.

McHale never talked defense or how they would get it back in game five. I heard about missing shots and frustration but if they want to get it back, has to start on defense.
