If Howard opted out would that free up space to sign a player like Aldridge? If so, then I's let him walk. That being said, no way a team overpays for a guy going on 30 with bad knees and piss poor FT shooting.

I know. I'm just reacting to those that would be happy to see him opt out. Noone should be happy if we lose Dwight Howard because Morey couldn't figure out how to assemble a team around him and Harden.

Best thing I can see from Dwight opting out is resigning for less money. That would open up cap room for some nice additions (Resign Smith, Brewer). Sign Llull and maybe Ty Lawson

the whole point of getting howard was to surround him with shooters, never happened... started off with jones playing next to him in the paint.

the PF with the slowest 3 point shot in the NBA that ikea to hang around rim

There is no player option next year.
Dwight will make $22,359,364 in 2015-2016. (Next year)
    He'll be 30 in December of 2015 (mid-year).

Dwight has a player option in 2016-17 for $23,282,457.

Assuming he's healthy, (and that's a big IF), he'll probably opt out AFTER next year, since that is when the salary cap goes up BIG TIME. Given the mileage on his knees and his back, that'll likely be his last big contract.

may be the best player in the playoff with the biggest handicap.

When a team can completely eliminate you from the game and kill your whole team's momentum, how valuable are you?

Dwight isn't the problem and he's not going anywhere.

Damn, you must have a pretty low opinion of yourself, do you just tell yourself you are stupid and not worthy of an opinion during matters like this?

For the record, you have no idea where I went to school or what I'm doing....which would make you look even dumber.

He cant guard 5 people at the same time. That's the way they play on defense. Players send people to him and believe he'll bail them out all the time. It's terrible defensive habits. Not to mention communication and rotations. Dwight is the last person to be questioned. Anyone who does has no idea what they're talking about
