    Golden State changed their coach.

We are not making that leap with McHale.

112.5 ppg allowed for the playoffs

That includes going against a broke down Dirk without Parsons and what amounts to a CP3-less Clippers team.

    Ponder that for a bit

Last year Aldridge and Lillard exposed us big time. Look their FG % vs the Grizzlies this year.
Our D has always sucked it's nothing new.And without Bev it certainly does not help.

This was one of the poorest defensive efforts I've ever seen given the circumstances. It was like the Rockets were in slow motion while the Clips were playing twice as fast. I think some of this has to do with the offensive "philospohy" of pushing the pace and jacking up so many 3s. Leads to long rebs and opportunities for other teams to kill the Rockets in transition before Houston can get back and adjust. The rest is on the coaches, but tonight looks like the players gave up once the Clips gained some separation in the 3rd qtr.

Brewer, Terry & Josh Smith have all mailed it in on defense and of course Harden is back to hanging back, reaching and ball-watching. Howard was also dreadful in this game and Jones is what he is. Ariza was fine, our lone star.

You may be the only Blake non-fan. He is a beast, just ask the Spurs.

The Rockets are currently ranked 12th out 16 playoff teams in terms of post-season defensive ranking.

Sure, there are some unfavorable circumstances-- playing against a couple of very good offensive teams, missing DMo and Beverley. But you are going to face very good offensive teams when you get into the playoffs in the West, especially if you are hoping to run deeper into the playoffs. And having injuries by the end of the season is pretty much a fact of life in the NBA. The Rockets also had the advantage of facing teams with injuries (Parsons, Paul) and dysfunction (Rondo).

In the end, it's just hard to say that the defense has been working this post-season.

Here's the dumbass jones-smith front court combo. Clippers gonna destroy. Play ****ing Capela or Dorsey.

He didn't play the dummy jones-smith line-up. Capela put in some meaningful minutes. Who would have thought?

Either way, we look better defensively tonight. It's amazing what effort can do.

I swear Capela is smarter than Howard but only lacks the strength to be as effective or more effective.

Yeah our defense needs tremendous improvement. Its playoffs, you would think that the intensity would increase.
