As ridiculous as it sounds, I think I'm loyal to the round half-gallon tub. The oblong tubs you see competitors use at the same price-point just make me depressed. How can I like an ice cream that comes in such a crappy container? I need to go to a grocery store and do some deep introspection on what compels me in my ice cream buying decisions.
It's like the opposite of a GT3 RS where they take off parts and charge you more. BB adds stuff and charges less.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1996_Odwalla_E._coli_outbreak And these were the hippie juice people, the Ben and Jerry's of juice. It's inevitable, it'll happen to B&J and Hagen, and Whole Foods and everyone. Welcome to factory food production. Even on a smallish scale. It's awful, but it is what it is. GO ROCKETS
Ice cream is less of a staple than steak or chicken, so it probably goes in the side-shelf on the freezer. That's too small for a half-gallon in an even circle, and the old rectangular prisms used to disgustingly leak out of the corners, so that's probably why a lot of boxes nowadays are elliptical.
Did I tell yall or did a f***in tell yall? Krazy Kookie Dough was unreal. I pity all of you who never had it. Spoiler
Very astute analysis. On the boxes, the corner leakage was indeed a problem. I also never felt the cardboard "fold-up flap top" properly closed.

It's going to be crazy. My son works at a grocery so I have an inside track on getting a couple of early half-gallons.
