Safe to say Luhnow probably wants a redo on that Conger trade. NiTro would be nice to have right now and Perez looks like he will be a good backup C in the league for a long time.
Maybe we can trade Hank Conger for him, maybe get them to throw in a good young starting pitcher. Oh.
Carter in a nutshell LOL <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Chris Carter buys himself a game or two of striking out four times with a two run homer. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a></p>— Climbing Tal's Hill (@astrosCTH) <a href="https://twitter.com/astrosCTH/status/597212938609426432">May 10, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Conger adds a lot of value that we don't understand. Apparently he is very coveted defensively, and is more of a pitching coach behind the plate/ a morale booster in the dugout rather than a valuable bat.
I wish Valby was just a bit better of a hitter. He's the best defensive 3b I've seen on this team in ages.
I'm happy to have an actual MLB 3rd baseman this year That is the devil's advocate argument. But I've always felt having Nitro was better than whatever slight improvement Conger might give us over Stassi or Perez.
