This article on BR talks about why we are so turn over prone
The article also goes to talk about how much where dependent on harden iso.

44% of our plays are dependent on harden, so when hzrden shot osnt falling clippers defence is good enough to close out on shooters because there are no plays really being run for them.

Anybody who has played pickup basketball when at a competitive disadvantage talent or athleticism wise knows picks are the great equalizer. Guess what... It is even more effective when you do have talent!!

Rockets have a Harden based, one move offense. Even on their plays, which they do have some, they're not setup for multiple screens and options 2,3,4

Still... The problem is defense principally.

Rockets actually had a nice play with a misdirection that Got Howard open for a Lob...
Dont know if that was an actually play but it was nice.

But of course the rockets set few screens, Besides Howard or Smith/Jones sometimes what is anybody else gonna do if they have or get the ball? Throw up a brick?

there need to be more off ball screens to free up our guys what mchale should have did was have cp3 chase terry around screens like reddick was doing on us all night long. almost all of his points came from screens to threes. brewer is more than capable of catching off the pick and going in for the drive. honestly if the coaches where switched on our teams we would be the ones who where up rn.

Harden did not come out to screen as much, Jones cannot set a proper pick, Josh just lets his man run by him, Capela is young, our wings do not set screens and we only run a proper offensive set that involves screens 2-3 times a game. That's what a non-coach and lazy players will do for you. Embarrassing!!

it's been one of my concerns for three years now. reminds me of shaq setting a screen for kobe and kobe waving it off. a screen is your best friend.

Clipper were running Redick of screens entire season, Houston can't learn/master it in between 2 playoff games. Coaching staff made this team so dependent on Harden it ended up biting in the ass.

Well it is part of the big picture: WE DO NOT HAVE AN OFFENSIVE SYSTEM

How can you explain a team as talented as the rockets not being able to at least go toe to toe with a team like the Clippers w/o their PG for 2 games??

it's all about the personnel. mchale & morey wanted to sign dunleavy a few seasons ago. if you have one guy who uses it and does well with it, teammates tend to copy. kind of like how even yao started to flop after they got battier.
