They are which means you have to be creative and save your season. Terry needs to be benched and move Brewer into the starting lineup. Also Dwight or Capela must be on the floor at all times for rim protection. I don't care how green Capela is, he's got 6 fouls to use anyway.

We should be down 3-0 and anybody who says different is ignoring reality. Desperate times calll for desperate measures. Got to try and save the dying season.

 

The Rockets just don't have the offensive talent to compete. There is only one difference maker offensively on this team. As long as that's true, we will continue to get exposed against the elite.

 

He can't prevent them from posting negatively. I agree with IBTL that a lot of supposedly die-hard Rockets fans such as Carl Herrera never have anything positive to say about the team. Critical opinions of the team lose any weight if you have always expected the team to suck. It's not just about reporting how badly we suck when we're losing, there is a ton of criticism in positive threads when we're playing well. There is little doubt that some "fans" want the Rockets to fail to prove themselves right.

 

I know. I feel ambiguous all the time. I wish we could have been the team blowing out the Clippers tonight.

I acknowledge Clippers' play tonite. They did well, better than us and I give them credit.

There is one thing Carl is doing right. That is he is trying not to take himself seriously most of the time.

You might not agree with his humor but that is a gift.

He isn't as good with more serious content for sure.

 

I'm one of the biggest Carl haters here but this is one thread where he wasn't actually trying to troll. He even said we are pretty good. We are ultimately going to need to add some offensive talent in order to get better as a team.

We all knew this at the trade deadline. We need another perimeter attacker

 

It's also why I wanted to play the spurs. We can keep it close with them. The clippers are crazy athletic and always play well against us. I said they had potential to blow us out

I don't root against the Rockets either, but I try to maintain objectivity. For ex., I picked the Clips in 6. But many on this board perceive objective analysis as being anti-Rockets or being sad and pathetic and miserable. It doesn't bother me to be characterized that way because I know it's not true, but I do appreciate those who provide impartial takes, even if I may disagree with them.

Some of us are just realists who understood that despite all the hype, the Rockets were not legitimate contenders. That's why I've gone on record before the post-season started as saying I would be satisfied with winning a single playoff series. Once I saw the bracket, I was convinced that that was all that was going to happen. It's looking more and more likely.

 

Rockets are still better, but for all the hard work they've done in the regular season to change into a defense first team, they've gone back to 2014 and let missed shots affect their game.

 

We still have the best player in Dwight. The entire offense should go through him.
