It may be irrational but as an mvp candidate the fans expect A LOT out of you. The game was within single digits and the run came with Harden was on the floor. Harden was guarding Austin Rivers. It may not be all Harden's fault be he going to shoulder all the blame. It is what it is.

I kind of feel like David Robinson circa 1995 saying this: our defense wasn't as bad as the box score indicates.

Truth be told, they made a lot of tough shots. Most of the Rivers and Crawford driving layups were highly contested. Most of the three pointers they nailed were well defended. You reach a point where you ask yourself, "What more could you have done?" and in a lot of of the shots they nailed tonight that was the case.

Bottom line: JJ Redick isn't going to go 11/14 again this series nor are the Clipeprs as a whole going to shoot nearly 60% from the field (when the game actually mattered) and 45% from 3-pt range, overall.

Much like game one, forget about it and move on...

    Is it Sunday yet?

I could have been more aggressive. Too passive. Just too passive.

(Rivers) He was aggressive. He made shots. He was not the problem. They were getting easy buckets which gave them confidence throughout the game.

    Why were you passive?

Good defensive team when set but gotta move the ball and be aggressive.

Kevin McHale said just one good defensive half all series.

120something points, that's not good defense. We have to play good defense. We're capable of doing that.

It was a blowout but just one game. We have another opportunity to tie this up. We've been through adversity all year.

We gotta be more focused on our schemes and match-ups.

Slow starts for you? Waiting for it to come to you?

I'm trying to be a passer, with their defense but I have to be aggressive and in attack mode. You saw that a little in game two in the 2nd half.

    - Harden

Jay, I'd be the first to say McHale was non responsive. But seriously Jay,McHale can't MAKE the players play with effort. He can't do the playing too. And this team is LOADED with players that will lay down at the first gut punch. I love this team and thought we might take this one. Not winning game 4 realistically. Win in Houston and lose in Game 6. Hope I'm wrong ? Heck yeah.BUT...

Dwight is not in anyway a dominator...everyone has scored over him.DJ owned him on the boards

Harden has been a no show...casual,silly passes & TO...stands around on the 3 pt. line

Watching McHale post game...."they outworked us" Wow, no kidding. It's called EFFORT coach.

Terry,Ariza, shoot nobody could shoot. Defense...wow...125 pts. No chance. I said previously that if the Clips weren't willing to "settle" for the split, it could EASILY be 3-0. People get mad and say you support your team, no matter what. I do. I'll be hoping somehow we find EFFORT and our game in game 4. But, bottom line...we look like a team that was satisfied to get outta round 1.

    I understand that. That's a given.

I just fundamentally disagree with the notion that tonight's game starts and ends with Harden like some are making it out to be. There were SO many other factors as to why the Rockets got run out of the building.

Harden going to put up a huge game Sunday. I can feel it. He all but said he's going to be more aggressive Sunday after trying to be a passer due to the way LA has defended him these first 3 games.

Sadly that might actually be a blessing in disguise. It'll force McHale to go with the no point guard lineup like he did in that game in Detroit earlier in the season.

You say it is effort but it's not all effort if the team is going behind the screen every time and leaving the same shooters open.

Every time. That's coaching man, bad coaching because the coaches are just OKAY with it and are not correcting it and not adjusting to it.
