I don't know whether the Clippers are the better team. I do know that the Clippers care more.

They're definitely the better team. I knew it watching their first round match up against the Spurs. It's even more apparent now. They play hard and disciplined. Rockets are a fraud, regular-season only team with no substance. I'm the resident Rockets fan at my job and it's going to be embarrassing walking in on Monday down 1-3 with 3 of the losses being probable blow outs and 1 tainted win.

Thank you. By far one of the most overrated coaches in the association. But definitely better than Kevin McHale.

The Clippers are hard to guard. They are the #1 offensive team in the NBA for a reason. The Rockets' aggressive gambling defense works against some teams, but the Clips got the talent to exploit the Rockets. Ball pressure is not gonna rattle Chris Paul, Blake has such a skills and physical advantage over basically everyone, Jordan is a great finisher and when the shooters are hitting there are few good choices for a defense to make.

The Clippers also have multiple guys who can make things happen on offense off the dribble: CP, Griffin, Crawford, Rivers. Even Redick kind of creates his own opportinities a bit by running around screens expertly. The Rockets have only Harden.

Yeah understand that. But regular season Harden is there with Westbrook in scoring.

If we are going down, I want to see us going down with Harden with 30-40 points per game effort.

I do not care that much how he gets it.

The Clippers are showing they are a better team in every way and definition.

They are tougher, hungrier, play more like a team, play better defense, better offense, better coached, better everything.

We are not WVF material. We are an also-ran.

Objective and Educated basketball fans and gamblers should be able to tell that Clippers Spurs was played on a much higher level than Rockets Mavs. The Rockets were sloppy for most of the series, but prevailed against a crappy shooting Mavs team pretty easily, which makes it easier for the kool-aid drinkers here to buy into the hype.

The Simmons-Haralabos podcast had great insight into the Spurs Clippers series and the potential match-up for both of those teams vs. the Rockets.
    http://grantland.com/the-triangle/b-s-report-haralabos-voulgaris-2/
Short version: Rockets were going to lose to either team. At least against the Spurs, they have the athletic advantage and the execution disadvantage. Against the Clippers, they're screwed in both categories.

My standpoint differs slightly from the OP and a few others here. I think the Rockets at their best are equal to the Clippers at their best...well if not equal then both teams don't have a significant difference when firing on all cylinders. The problem is, the Rockets have not been a consistent execution machine all playoffs long. They have good quarters, but not consistent games. And there's no room for error against a good and consistent team like the Clippers or Spurs. The Rockets are not so much more talented that they can get away with being idiotic every other possession.

You have to be smart the entire game to beat this team. The margin for error is so small, and the Rockets just don't have the team basketball IQ to do that. So like Haralabos said, they we're drawing dead going into the series. I hope he's wrong, but the smart money is on the team that makes less mistakes when talent is equal.

CH is a huge Rockets fan who happens to have an opinion thinking that the Clippers are better and that is your response? I know it's frustrating to be a Rockets fan right now, but have some class dude.

It's his freakin opinion. CH has been posting cap and game analysis for years here. (Deleted) There are many ways to be a fan. I'm frustrated from this game, but I think you are wrong by attacking Rockets fans who have an opinion differing from yours. I apologize if you read my insult before the delete. I'm very frustrated from this game.

It's not trolling the board if you make a reasonable argument. Rockets had an advantage on the Clippers in game one and blew it. From watching game the game and their poor effort, you could tell the Rockets didn't have what it takes to win a championship, much less make it out of this series.

It's a hard pill to swallow but we are a poor team. It's no surprise that playoff teams were salivating to draw us as an opponent. Just because some fans recognize the flaws doesn't make us any less of Rockets fans.

I will always be a willing-listener to the OP in this forum.

    How is he a troll?

This is a form for different opinions and you cannot say he is wrong.

In fact from the two blowouts we have received, he is spot on with his analysi

You need to stop being so thin skinned

more hate of rockets. I dont get why so many of you post here and think like this?

I was at the game when rockets went down 3-1 against phx. I heard the same jack off comments like OP and you as I left the summit.

    anyway let the hate flow.

My favorite is people overtly wanting the rockets to lose so bad so they can somehow validate their crappy existence and then call themselves a fan. You CH, Kim etc. it's really sad frankly. I would consider getting it checked out. honestly.

If I hate the team so much I wouldn't watch. but I dont and we won in phx and then won at home and then won in phx. sorry about that since it already happened and no amount of hate can reverse that.

if rockets lose this series make sure to pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself on another chance to wallow in self pity and hatred.

    feels nice.

not as nice as when elie hit that 3.

    come on people

I get there is no democracy here. But different fans deal with it differently.

More optimistic fans like yourself do not post negatively after a frustrating loss.

Others do the contrary thing. You have to let them.

he posted it when we were down 1-0 and at halftime when we were losing. then we came out and won and folks here like you were trying to rationalize it in some of the better comedy I have seen in a while.

It's like the rockets win and you are unhappy? makes sense huh? you are trolling yourself at that point and I feel bad for you. Genuinely even on the internet since presumably you roam the same streets I do.

    WHAT?
so the series is over right? they changed the rules and now you only have to win 2 games?

thanks for the laugh. rich coming from the most emo poster here. lots to learn still son.
act like you've been there but we all know you haven't

rejoice when rockets lose. I get it.
