In all the playoff games the Rockets have play as of now, including the series against the Mavs, I saw very little change in game plan, especially for rotation (in absence of foul troubles). The team is using the same 8-man rotation (excluding Capela, who usually just plays 3~5 minutes in the first quarter for DH), starts hacking DJ atter DH or JS is hacked, etc.

I am not saying that change is necessary to win a game, but it is worth a try at least, especially when we are in trouble in terms of defense or offense. Without a change, we make the job of the coaching staff of the Clippers so much easier.

Biggest game of McHale's career and he throws out this defensive game plan. Rockets got roasted all night in the pick and roll.

    Embarrassing.

you can mix and match the season, the roster, the competition, the refs, the weather, the commentators, etc etc.

in the end, a mchale-coached team WILL meltdown.

I'm embarrassed to be a Rockets fan right now.

James Harden, how are you an mvp candidate? How do you let someone talk about you mother like that and not respond in the next game? It's a shame.

I'd be surprised if we won another game in the series.

no defense at point guard is killing us. Just like I too mchale forever to realize troy Daniels could impact the Playoffs last year. Mchale is slow to realize nick Johnson is the only point guard who can slow down the clippers guards. Yet mchale won't play him..

You can change game plan but it won't make Terry-Harden back court an NBA level defense. Ariza can guard 1-2-3, but he can't guard 1, 2 AND 3 at the same time.

Add our defenseless Power Forwards and it's basically 2 vs 5 defense. And when PG, SG and PF don't provide anything on offense too it's a ****train waiting to crash.

Poor effort on half-court defense, little thought to getting back and defending the break, no movement or urgency on offense.

    Rockets have quit again.

T-Jones better not return next year. He is the Rockets version of what Jeff Green was to OKC. When you choke like a royal dog in the playoffs two straight years, you are what your are.

Next year, Dwight, Capela, Josh Smith and D-Mo are all the bigs the Rockets need. Trade T-Jones for a pack of chewing gum.

whats harden gonna do shoot the ball when he is double covered, or attack the basket and get an offensive foul call

this is about coaching... Harden would be so much better with a decent coach

difference between a **** coach and a great coach

All we can do is shoot threes because that is the only thing drawn up in our playbook. Dont blame Harden for any of this, he did a great job all season bringing us this far but it is obvious we need a new coach to teach some of these guys how to ball.

We can get more than a pack of gum for Jones, but I agree. He's had some good moments but also some disgusting moments that really should overshadow his good. DMo clearly has the higher ceiling and is the better defensive player, thus is worth keeping.

Jones could've easily been on his way out if we were able to land Bosh. Let's see if Morey goes all in for Aldridge or Love.

Yup and when things get tough, we start jacking up threes with no ball movement and it's funny how this has been there in every bad loss this season. There's always a run the other team makes where we just try to shoot ourselves back into the game and not in a good way. Wjhen this happens consistenly and even in the play-offs, that's when you know you're not a defense first team and coaching is a big issue.
