You're right. Harden doing well to facilitate.
Our offense is fine. Our defense is just sickening.

One sided officiating Harden not in the game, defense terrible, Rocket not shooting that well, Rockets down single digits.

How have you people not learned by now that Harden is a clutch closer. He got his teammates involved the entire half. He did the right thing against hard double teams by not trying to force it. The problem wasn't the offense, it was the defense. There is no way that LA can keep shooting at the clip they were, especially JJ. He barely missed a shot.

It looked like it, but the Clippers have been getting away with plenty of bad calls, too.

As bad as we played, to be down by 7 is a blessing.

Game of runs....just got to make ours.

Somehow we're only down by 7. I think Dwight should handle the halftime dressing down instead of McHale. It'd mean a lot more. He's busting his ass out there.

Yup, add in a very high stress environment and our offense that relies on decision-making from every player is not a good combination. They play chaotic and not fluid which causes a lot of turnovers and bad passes. Our defense is just not even worth talking about and that starts with the head coach.

Honestly, if we could just make a better effort to run back on transition defense on their fast breaks and play better pick and roll defense, we'd have a great chance of stealing this game as well. Just requires a lot of effort. Up to them whether they want to play with heart again in the second half or not.

Its pathetic...that being said, the Rockets did very well minus the 8 on 5 this game. I am actually proud of this team tonight win or lose. Came to play...now need them to miss some...

We are in a position to steal one, just gotta keep it close and chip away.

Refs are totally screwing the Rocket's in the paint. Harden should have at least 6-8 free throws by now.

Smith has to pick it up on defense. Offense is okay but his defense is shockingly bad considering he was a DPoTY candidate not too long ago.

Howard is beasting. Three point shooters have to come alive, can't be just Harden and Terry.

Part of the reason why we got mchale was because of his defense. Play some damn D.

Stop complaining about Harden, he has 7 assists at the half, not forcing anything, and most important of all he's taking much better care of the ball. Clippers with the refs blowing them are only up 7. Harden will get his in the 2nd half.

Missed 5 shots within 4 ft in first quarter alone. We are very much in this game...contrary to the idiots in this thread

Some of you guys are seriously pathetic. Getting tired of it. They are packing the paint on Harden, he's making great passes and keeping the turnovers down. What more do you want from him? If he was driving in wildly, committing charges etc. or if he was ISOing and bricking shots trying to step it up you same fickle supporters would be complaining he's not looking for his teammates and forcing it way too much. Shame on all of you pessimistic haters.

Obviously missing a couple of pieces, but more importantly, a Ron. Artest type. They are physical to us, and we are not pushing back.
    We are soft.

Really sad how far the Rockets have fallen defensively. At the beginning of the year and mostly throughout it, I was excited to see what we'd do in the playoffs because we were fielding a defense that could hang with anybody. Sadly...that is not the case. The Rockets have abandoned that identity.

Just down by seven on the road. Not to bad. We need to come out really aggressive on defense. Make them uncomfortable and I don't care if we get called for fouls. If your going to lose, might as well be in their grill. I like what Corey brewer was doing out there against rivers in the 2nd quarter. He fouled him a little but rivers couldn't even dribble comfortably. The rockets can afford to lose this game so your playing with house money.
