Agree there is literally nobody on the team outside of Harden that can create their own shot. This is why the Rockets go to sleep in the 2nd qtr when James goes to the bench.

Lawson's trade value is depressed - time to strike now. Denver would gladly take a 1st rounder and filler for him at this point.

Well DMo creates his own shot....but he's not healthy right now.

    Would do!

I lost confidence in Jones. Liked the guy a lot, but his inconsistency is taking over.

Don't want to give up Jones. Wouldn't mind swapping Bev with Lawson via some sort of S&T

And they probably don't need Jones anyways.

Yeah, but that's kinda indicative of the fact that he plays better when he has good players around him. If you force him to carry the load he's over-matched.

THAT is a championship caliber team right there. 2 superstars, a great perimeter defender, a good low post scorer, and a pg who will put tremendous pressure on the Curries of the NBA. ADD the above with one of the best NBA benches and we ate truly 9-deep.

    Do it Morey!

You guys keep talking about defense but right now Jason Terry is our starting pg and we're in the 2nd round of the playoffs. I understand Lawson isn't great defensively but who's available that is?

If we could manage to keep Bev as our backup, defense will be fine. I think Beverley was way more effective defensively as a backup. It allowed him to expend maximum effort at all times. So if his defensive prowess improves in the minutes he plays as a backup (when currently our backups are Terry and Prigioni) I would think that he defensive drop off wouldn't be as extreme as some are making it out to be.

Lawson wouldn't be at the top of my list if the Rockets could target any point guard, but if he is available for a reasonable price he is definitely worth pursuing.

Lowry & Rubio could very well be on the market.

We should also look at Jerrell Grant - 6'5 PG from Notre Dame.

Rather have Lawson than Rubio. Terrible fit.

Grant is nice prospect but is much more a SG than a PG.

Crap. There goes that option. T-Jones, the 18th pick, and filler doesn't equal the 6th pick anyway. Looks like the Nuggets want more than the Rockets can offer(unless we throw in Capela which we better not!).

That's an interesting one for both sides.

Hope the Kings pass, and a market does not materialize for Lawson.

Unless the Kings pass. Why would the Kings pass? Who knows.

The Kings would never make that trade. Lawson isn't worth the 6th pick in the draft for a rebuilding team.

*thinks about it for a second*

Nevermind...the Kings would totally be dumb enough to make that trade.

The thing is that there is some chance that Mudiay is available at #6. But who knows?

With that trade, nuggets would get back to back picks at number 6 and 7.

yeah i dont know why the kings would trade for lawson either. i dont think he is good enough to placate cousins on staying with the kings. but they may be dumb enough to try anyways and be exactly where they are now 5 years from this point. with a high lottery pick and starting over.

what they really should do is trade cousins for a couple of high picks and start over with that and the pick this year. along with what they would get the next few seasons in the draft. and then hit the FA market.

    but yeah.
