So, Rockets player are the only ones who flop this postseason? I saw tons in Dallas, and even in the GSW / Pels series.

Unbelievable that these 2 haven't been picked up and fines dished out. Guess that's the benefit of having the "MVP" on your team...

I think it's legit to call a flop a flop even if the guy is fouled. Brewer flopped. But, he also got the foul and they can't take that back, so I don't really care. This is the playoffs, so you can't really let a fine for a couple of bucks get in the way of selling fouls and getting calls.

Honestly, the system today is even worse than when they didn't acknowledge flops. The flopping goes on completely unabated, but the league occasionally and capriciously steals money from select players. If they have a real system that actually treats flopping in an equitable way bring it on. If this is really the best they can or will do, it's better to do nothing. This is just a running joke at the fans' expense.

Lets face it. Fines are really dumb to implement for flops.

Embellishment for contact is a flop...but if you are fouled then it shouldn't be a fine. I get fouled playing basketball all the time and it doesn't change any of my movement when I am driving to the basket. I still get fouled but play on. If I embellished in a competitive basketball environment then it would have resulted in an And-1. In short; I see nothing wrong with embellishing contact if you are legitimately fouled in the process.

That being said, what Draymond Green did, what Harrison Barnes did, what we have been LeBron James do, what we have been Blake Griffin AND Chris Paul do to get fouls by "acting" and being rewarded free throws or fouls by pretending to be fouled. This is CHEATING.

The refs are suppose to be a machine that establishes a system of non-bias rule enforcement - essentially they try to make the game as fair as possible. Refs aren't actually "part of the game". To take advantage of that is among some of the worst sportsmanship I can imagine. Using refs as a vessel for free points without being properly and rightfully awarded them is a bit disgusting.

I couldn't imagine playing pick up basketball and when I had the ball some clown just fouls down and says "Alright, my ball!". Get real...

The NBA needs to seriously look into harsh punishments for this type of cheating. That is essentially what they are doing. Flopping without actually being fouled...using the refs as an advantage because you are a more popular player or even a good actor is CHEATING.

Cheating shouldn't result in just a fine. It should be approached more seriously because it takes away from the entertainment of the game, the integrity of the game, and is ultimately their reputation.

WHy does the NBA pick on role players for the most part when choosing who to fine for flopping? Are they trying to make an example out of these guys? LOL

The game's biggest floppers are many of your household names - CP3, LeBron, Harden, Wade.......

i've tried to ponder on what could possibly be the determining factors for why the league office chooses to fine some flops and then completely ignores the other 97% of them…..and haven't been able to come up with any rhyme or reason……very strange that terry and brewer have been singled out from all the egrigious instances across 16 teams this postseason……maybe they only give them to teams that didn't play lux tax? there must be some missing criteria i'm missing here..

I would love to see a flopping mix of these playoffs put together and have it spread and go viral. I've seen plenty of it from every team, including the Rockets besides the two they've been fined for. It completely baffles me on how Brewer and Terry are the only two fines out of what are probably 100's of playoff flops.

Kudos to Corey Brewer for playing the way the NBA wants you to play. Because they may fine you once in a while, but they always give you the call.

Brewer is so skinny, I bet he will fly away from arena after intentional blow. No flop!

I wonder if someone keeps track on flopping stats.

Has NBA flopping decreased, increased, or stayed the same after the fine was instituted? My eye test tells me that it is about the same. So what's the point?

QUESTION: If he does not flop . . .. . does he get that call?

No one questions whether it was a foul or not
but do people HAVE TO flop to get basic calls?
