NEWSFLASH Clippers shot 31 3ptrs to our 33 for the first game. One the 2nd game, they shot 25 to our 26.

Golden state shot 28 and 26 respectively on their first 2 games.

People only see what they want to see

I think people are not really understanding the concept or at least my argument against Moreyball. This has been debated to death on this forum so there's no point into going into the details of it. Basically, Morey favors 3s and drives to the basket over midrange jumpers.

My point is this. We're shooting and making less 3s in this series (so far) because we're playing a defensively disciplined team. Just because we shoot a helluva lot of 3s and make them in the regular season doesn't make us a great 3-point shooting team. We shoot a lot, and thus, we're bound to make some.

Josh Smith and Corey Brewer are two players that come to mind and they've been exposed in this series so far. Will they pick up later, who knows. They were doing fine in the the regular season, but against the Clippers, they haven't had much success outside of the arc. The one thing about Brewer that I like is he's so good at the open court and he can attack the basket. So he makes up for his lack of 3s with his other skills. Josh Smith, so far, hasn't done very much in this series.

The same goes for James Harden and his drives to the basket. It's hard when you have Jordan and Griffin guarding the paint. And Harden hasn't done that great in the 3s either so far. James will get his stuff together coz he's a All-Star player. As for the rest of the team - Ariza, Brewer, Smith, Terry, Prigioni - we shall see.

Second, you can't compare that single stat line with the Clippers and Warriors. They have more offensive weapons that we do. First of, Warriors have Curry, who is not only the 3-point king but also the MVP. Oh yea, the rest of that team is pretty good too. Clips have CP3, Redick, and Crawford. Three players that can hit shots anywhere on the court under pressure.

Harden is the only player on our team that can create his own shot and somehow he's not having a brilliant series except for the 4th quarter last night.

Look, I would love to see our team do well. I would love to see us move on to the WCF. Seriously. But I'm not delusional. I'm just calling it like I see it.

Please watch the game again and let us know how many of those open 3 pointers were contested - very few. The attempts we made were no different than any other team we played.

Lol, maybe the boards should be called non-clutchfans, with all of these stupid threads it's not even worth discussing much. I mean it's one thing to be discussing what you don't like about your team, it's another thing to actually be happy when your team fails. Why even bother watching the team or calling yourself a fan if you hate them? It's like if houston lost last night, this thread would be full of more bull**** posts.

Again I'm not against good conversation of why the team sucks or is good or whatever, but there's some really bi-polar ****ing fans on here, if you live your life like some of these crazy posts I'm sure it's a manic ride, haha.

Hopefully you guys aren't postal workers, haha

They actually won all of the quarters convincingly yesterday except for the 2nd qtr. +11 in 1st qtr, +7 in 3rd qtr, and +8 in 4th which was much higher before garbage time. Stop with the revisionist history.

We beat them twice without Dwight during the season. What's your point? I'm sure their fans wondered how a Rockets team with D Mo and Dorsey at C beat them twice in the regular season. Both teams won 56 games. Both teams split season series 2-2. Both teams are 1-1 right now. Everything is Even Steven right now. Whoever wins the series is the better team. Until the series is over we don't know who the better team is. Both teams have their strengths and weaknesses. Adjustments will be made each game. The better team always wins a 7 game series so whoever wins is the better team. Period. You don't luck into 4 wins.

GS has looked rather ordinary against the Pelicans and Memphis. They have a certain style that is conducive to the regular season and not the post season. Although they swept NO 3 of those games could have gone either way. GS is a team that plays different than the other 29 teams so in the regular season your traditional should principals go out the window when playing them like sagging into the paint in transition D. Most teams don't adjust in the daily grind of the regular season but in a playoff series where you concentrate on one team and exposing their flaws and taking away their strengths GS has looked rather ordinary. They looked terrible the other night against Memphis and the excuse of a bad shooting day is ridiculous. Memphis was all in their face ready for GS's tricks and GS has no inside scoring to speak of. They have precisely one player who can get his own shot and that is usually an off the dribble 3 from 30 feet. No post scoring or anybody who can pressure the defense going to the basket except for that same player who won MVP.

If the Clippers have a better coach than the Rockets, and a more talented roster, and had fewer injuries, then how did both teams end up with the same record at the end of the year??

What is the score of the series? Is GS getting their ass whooped? People always seem to use ONE game to justify their negativity towards one team as though this is how all the other games are all going to be played. Why dont we wait till the series is over until we have a better sample size?

Carl Herrero is not that bad with predictions when he is not in his humor mode.

Sometimes he is right, sometimes wrong..... Hit and miss like Morey

The Rockets are done. Don't even bring up the "human nature" excuse.

The way the rockets did not play defense is on them. They will lose this series 4-1 and they deserve it.

Screw it. IF the Clippers are better, they are not better by 30+ points margin.

Rox quit. Rox do not care to play D. Frustrating.
