You guys shouldn't be so confident we are 1-1 against a clipper team without chris paul. I am so nervous because we haven't played like how we played in the mavs series .

It is a win in the 2nd round of the playoffs ... as long as nobody is hurt I am fine with the W. 2nd half the team played much better but that 2nd quarter was ugly. I woke up in a good mood.

I don't know man.. When he says he isn't happy with the win. I think it is safe to say he isn't happy with the win.

I think he wanted the Rockets to lose or something

Not a single person in here expressed over confidence about this series. However, everyone in here (except you) is happy that we won the game, which is something you have to do if you want to have a chance at winning a playoff series. Also, not sure if you've noticed, but the Clippers are not the Mavs.

I would rather get this kind of win over a blow out so players don't get satisfied and relax. I want them to be alert and know they didn't have it easy

This sums up just about everything I wanted to say about it. Except that if you thought the Rockets didn't play with any heart until midway through the 4th quarter, then you either only watched the 2nd and 4th quarters, or you and I watched two completely different games.

I was happy with the effort our guys were making on defense and rebounding. I was happy that they learned from Game 1 and stopped making so many terrible passes and started attacking the rim. And I'm confident we're going to win this series BASED on what I've seen from our team so far.

There were adjustments made between the first and second games, which were coaching adjustments. Though I'm sure there are some people that still won't give our coaching staff the credit they deserve for making those adjustments. But I digress.

If you weren't happy after watching Game 2, you should probably stop watching this series. It's going to be brutal.

Another thing OP doesn't grasp is that in all sports, coaches like to save their game-planned adjustment to the end of the game, as a surprise tactic. And that's what McHale did on the defense of Griffin.

And you shouldn't be a debbie downer after a win. Doesn't matter how we won, what matters is that we notched up a W. Be pleased with that win and hope for the best for the next game.

Another Brother said: "You are not alone" when it comes to being nervous and superstitious. Your problem is that you are telling us to think like you...which is a stupid thing to say to sports fans.

Or you could choose to say, "we looked bad, and we still won...imagine how great it will be when we play a better game"

Why should I be unhappy about things the Rockets can't control?

Heart is one thing. In a seven game series, it's not only the heart that shows. It's the matchup, the style, the coaching, the personality, it's everything basketball related. Things that worked in the regular season are taken away by opponents. We are still a young team. One step at a time.

Bro, you can't criticize the Rockets or you get flamed. Doesn't matter that they played poorly this series for 1.625 games and even going back towards the Dallas series, we got a split on our home court against the Clippers without their 2nd best player. We should be celebrating.

Not happy either. Indifferent about the win, at this point it feels like we avoided a sweep rather than got closer to winning the series. I care about winning the championship. Splitting a home and home against a team that finished a 7 game series two days before this series and missing its best player is BAD overall. We didn't even play much better in the 2nd game, the Clippers certainly played worse. Even watching the highlights of the game, you can see we scored a lot of points with idiotic shot selection and that's not going to happen consistently.

Also, DeAndre Jordan had 2 fouls a few minutes into the game. If that was Dwight, we would be saying how that's not going to happen again and how it will make all the difference.

Obviously, 100% (except maybe Carl Herrera) of fans are happy that we won rather than lost game 2. That includes OP and me. But I'm not happy at all with the indicators that came out of Game 2. The indicators say to me that it's going to be brutal on the road and something has to happen with the team BETWEEN games 2 and 3 to make it likely IMO we can win the series.

To put it even simpler, I'm unhappy because the win in game 2 barely changed how I've felt since game 1 we will perform the rest of the series. Doesn't stop me from rooting for our team and OBVIOUSLY doesn't mean I would rather we lost that game.
