Why are no games being played today (Thursday 5/7)

    I don't get it. Is it just because of the travel transition? There's no other major event going on in sports. The NBA passed on having a night to themselves to showcase some great games. What are they thinking?

    Wizards/Hawks/Warriors/Grizzlies with 3 days off.

    Cavs/Bulls/Clippers/Rockets with a day off.

    Weird scheduling.

    Wizards scheduling is affected by NHL playoffs but there's no game tonight, so no clue.

    You stay up to watch the other LATE games? :confused: Why? Only the ROCKETS' games matter. Who cares about the other games? :p

    The Grizzlies-Warriors series is as compelling as the Rockets-Clippers series. It's ok to be a fan of basketball AND a fan of the Rockets.

    It's because not enough of the 1st round series went 7 games. They have to stay on pace for the finals, which are scheduled far in advance.

    In the regular season Thursday has way fewer games than other days. I don't know if this is the reason, but I expect Friday-Sunday games would bring in more money. So the Thursday quota gets loaded on to those days instead.

    Apprtly the OP has a lot of free time on his hands each evening.
    Dude, some folk appreciate the one evening that has no games on so we can get other stuff done before tomorrow and the next set of games arrive bro.

    There is only 4 games (8 teams) left. TNT/ESPN would rather have 2 games than 1 game a night.

    Is it set in stone that the Rockets and Clippers will play every other night until game 7? This schedule stretching should be applied to all series.

    ABC has some shows Thursday night and the Disney Sports Channel doesn't want to compete with Disney.
