Can we not make this thread about bashing the Rockets? There's a whole forum for that -- it's called the GARM.

Was really psyched to see some old-school defense played last night and I hope the Grizzlies can keep it up. Conley really impressed me; I'm sure he's in a world of pain.

Meanwhile, I really think if you can press the Warriors on the perimeter, their lack of interior options is a really weakness. Bogut used to be okay, but he only gives you the occasional dunk now. Green has turned into more of a jump-shooter, just like everyone else on their roster. Maybe Speights could give them something down on the block, but he's pretty much just a nice jump-shooter too now.

I expect the Warriors to deliver their best shot, whatever that is right now. They don't seem to be the same team in the playoffs.

The playoffs are always different. GSW isn't surprising anyone now. All teams become predictable in the playoffs. It comes down to adjustments and how to exploit mismatches which is why teams with the biggest stars usually win.

Are you from the future? Should I put my life savings on the rockets tonight?

I've come to the conclusion that Tony Allen in a 7 game series is essentially Batman w/ prep time.

Tony Allen frustrated Kevin Durant and CP3 in previous playoff series. If anyone can slow down Steph it's him.

Tony Allen just destroying Klay was awesome though

Also, the Draymond thing on Mike Conley was exactly what Beverly did except no one criticized Draymond. Except Conley already had a broken face. Kinda ridiculous.

Klay is really good, but he's an all-star in the same way that people used to become all stars by batting before or after Barry Bonds.

If Klay had to carry the burden for a team for a season, it wouldn't be so pretty.

Great player overall, but like you, I really enjoyed the good dousing by Allen.

It is going to be very hard because the Warriors are so explosive. The Grizzles can play exceptional defense for 40 minutes and still lose because of a couple of 3-4 minute spurts.

I know that there were scouts and some front office people that felt GS was vulnerable in the playoffs because they are not big inside and struggle against big and physical teams like the Chicago Bulls.

I will take the Warriors in 6, but I am rooting hard for the Grizzlies. They don't run their mouths like the Warriors, they are blue collar and have been together forever. I don't think they have the talent to win a Championship but they are deserving of a shot.

I find it funny that everyone assumes that it was just a bad shooting night by the Warriors and it wasn't the physical play and defense of the Grizzlies. Seriously, give the Grizzlies some credit.... I believe the Warriors had like 39 points in the first half. That isn't all bad shooting.

The Warriors were something like 5/27 on uncontested shots, which is really low for them. Grizzlies definitely had something to do with it (hard close outs, rushed shots, etc.), but I think it's basically just great defense combined with an off night for the Warriors.

Klay has torched Memphis this season, and in the first game.

He had an off night (and Allen's D did have something to do with that). But he'll bounce back.

And for his future, the guy will continue to improve. He's not done reaching his potential yet. He'll average 25+ points pretty easily in his prime years, while giving you elite defense.

Hahaha Curry using his own MVP ceremony as an excuse for why they lost. "it's weird it was so close to game time...it disrupted our normal routine..." What a p***y ass entitled little b****!
