To me this game is the series. Not just the win, but how they come out and play on all levels.

If we lose this game, we're done.

    Yup.
Our injuries and low IQ play have finally caught up to us.

We'll see what happens tomorrow. Game 1 was an effort problem. I expect a complete 180 in that regard, and I hope I don't look like a fool for saying that in the end.

I fully expect them to go all out tomorrow. But so much of our offense depends on players hitting their three ball. Harden needs to impose his will. And smith needs to impose the defer button.

Who knows. Maybe Jones becomes not useless tomorrow.

More things have to align and fall into place to beat tough teams like the Clips.

This next game will tell everything about the character and heart of the team. They better step it up and realise that this is the PLAYOFFS. nothing easy.

I have a feeling that the Christmas tree knife scene from American Me is going to play out on the Toyota Center court tomorrow night. .

If Chris Paul is still absent, nothing short of a blowout win will show that Houston has a real chance in this series.

I think the Rockets will come out with more effort. The question is whether that effort will be enough. If an "efforting" Rockets team still do no better than just barely beating CP-less Clips at home, chances are the Clips are just more talented when CP returns.

With the salary cap there is hardly any way to further bolster the roster in terms of 'talent' other than a third star or two more former allstars

You cannot control what they do on the court.

Talent that did not have time to mesh or won't mesh well, won't be effective.

Malone Shaq Kobe and Payton won't win a championship ;)

Food for thought: Every home team has dropped one in the 2nd round, so far.

Our effort was inexcusable, but it is absolutely possible to look past this game and take the series.

Yes every team has dropped already one at home but the thing is they didnt quit when the win was still for grabs. The Rockets just quit in the last two minutes. Any loss counts the same ofc even by blowout or in the buzzer but the Rocket's perfomance was the most alarming.
I have faith that they will wake up from this though.

Why hasn't anybody on the media picked up on us quitting in the last 2 minutes? This is a perfect opportunity to chew us out and embarass these guys, but they didn't. Hope it wasn't needed and we have enough pride to come out and take it to the Clippers tonight.

I haven't watched much TV the last 24 hours aside from the 2 games on TNT last night, but I imagine that the national media has given the Rockets plenty of grief over their performance Monday night(in particular Harden).

Honestly, the Rockets didn't just quit in the last 2 minutes. They were lazy and disengaged from the opening tip. That wasn't rust that caused 9 first quarter turnovers and 24 for the game or the failure to run back on defense or cover the Clippers' 3-point shooters.

If the Rockets aren't embarrassed on their own over what happened in Game 1 and need extra motivation from the media, then there's no hope for this team anyway.

Look, Rockets are still favorites in this series

I don't think many CFers here have played actual sports and suffered from harmstring trouble. Those things need a solid 15 days rest to be at 100%

Even if Cp3 comes back, there is no chance he is close to 100% and that in itself makes the Rockets favorites.

Win game 2 and get a split in LA

Best of 3 with 2 at home. I fancy the Rockets

I think tinman will agree that MerGady would have shown more effort.

Has to be a double digit win for us to prove that we belong in this series. Otherwise, we're screwed.
