You didn't ask what I meant by that, but you clearly assumed that "the numbers" could dispel my argument.

What I actually meant was in terms of chemistry between Hakeem and Otis, which was at an all-time high in that run. Otis's ability to pass it to Hakeem in tight space, his ability to defer when needed to to Hakeem and also make other teams pay when they doubled and tripled hakeem was dialed in during that playoff run. Make no mistake this was Hakeem's team, and everybody knew it, but Otis came through when he needed to.

If you remember when Otis first got to the rockets, he and Hakeem were not together, chemistry-wise. Otis, at that time, was a big-time player with ability and it took a while for him and Hakeem to mesh. It all came together in that playoff run. They played kinda like Marc and Zbo play now, brother from another mother, type basketball.

It also didn't hurt that the rockets drafted to superb players in back to back drafts, Horry and Cassell. But the framework for the championship was down low with Otis and Hakeem, which was a well-oiled machine in that run.

He means we would not have won that 2nd championship without trading Otis for Clyde. I get it.

Mike Conley used this special ball to improve his free throw percentage. 94fifty or something like that. I spoke to the founder of that company once and he was really confident that he would be able to improve Dwight's FT % with that, too. Wonder if we have tried anything like that for our terrible FT shooters.

Tony Allen has grown to be one of my favorites. So much hussle and grit. Spectacular defense. Does all the little things.

What was up with him constantly screaming "1st team all defense" tonight?

I've been on and off the bandwagon for a few years now. I think I need to just pay for a seat on it and stay there.

Anyway, this might be the first worthwhile thread you've created(or that I've seen you create. Kudos!)

No, I'm just trying to understand if there is a backstory to this.
