Yeah, Feldman can't make a habit of tonight's outing. Good news is, this is only his 2nd poor start of this season. His other 4 games were all quality starts. So, it's not time to panic, yet. I'm not too worried about how Feldman's cost. 10MM is pretty much the going rate for decent free agent starters. In comparison, here are FA signings from 2013 and 2014: Brett Anderson 1yr/10MM Josh Johnson 1yr/8MM Kuroda 1yr/16MM Hammel 2yr/18MM Ubaldo Jimenez 4yr/48MM Peavy 2yr/24MM Nolasco 4yr/49MM Jason Vargas 4yr/32MM Colon 2yr/20MM I think Feldman, so far, has lived up to his price. He was not amazing, but there's a lot of things worst than posting a 3.74 ERA through 180 IP (granted 4.11 FIP). And, IIRC, his contract is on a declining scale, so we only owe him like 8MM this year and less the following year.
Springer is unreal in RF, time to move him down a little in the order though. Think we're starting to miss Jed a little.
