Lol, Robben and Lahm past it. Robben in particular, you serious? The guy has been injured a bit this season, but he's still one of the best players in the world. Did you just look at his birth date and figure he must be past his prime? Look at someone like Zlatan - he actually improved once he hit 30.
Robben and Lahm are 31. For sure they are closer to the end of their prime while Messi and Suarez are right at that peak but 31 isn't the end of one's prime athletic years. Now in a year or two I guess we can evaluate and see where Robben and Lahm are but dude, they're still up there with the best players in the world at their positions. They aren't past anything bro.
Lol, 4 missed penalties in a row for Bayern in the shootout and they are out of the cup. Two of them after players slipped. Pep will undoubtedly fire the groundsmen now.
Ref was terrible, one of the worst in recent time. Praying Robben and Thiago aren't injured, otherwise this goes down as the worst night of the season.
Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will be handed a 2 period transfer ban similar to Barca's for signing of under age kids.. Villareal being investigated as well.
It's great how Müller-Wohlfahrt was against rushing players back from injury. Pep and Rummenigge b**** about it and make him leave, then rush our guys back and Badstuber & Robben are immediately out for the season. Waiting for Thiago and Benatia to be out in the next weeks... These guys are shortsightes as F and don't give a damn about the longterm health of our players.
Hmm... truly sucks being a Liverpool supporter nowadays lol. Can't really name one thing I should be grateful for with this team. Players have already quit on the season, no reason to support this team when the players themselves have thrown in the towel. Time to retire supporting this team for the season and thank God we still have the Rockets.
Lewa broken jaw, probably out for the season. We are toast. Thanks for nothing, Pep. I want you gone.
I guess be grateful that Coutinho made the PFA team of the year?(underserving though since Cesc was left out). Mentioning the PFA team of the year reminds me, how the f does Diego Costa get selected as the lone striker in the team of the year AHEAD of Sergio bloody Aguero????? There is no better striker or more dangerous striker in the prem than Aguero and I say this as a Man City and Argentina hater. Yet Mourinho was still b*tchin about how there weren't enough Chelsea players in the team of the year selection. When Gary Cahill was selected ahead of better defenders like Jose Fonte. SMH Mourinho deserves to be punched and I hope someday someone(manager, player or fan) punches him.
Kane and Costa being above Sergio is a ****ing joke. He's the only reason Man City is still in the Top 4.
That stuff doesn't matter to me. Cou was very inconsistent throughout the season and caught fire the only for a few games before going cold again. Don't know how he made the PFA team. I'm afraid in the long run it'll only make him big-headed and demand a new contract (despite him just signing a new one) or ask for a transfer. So to me, it's nothing to be grateful for. It's the season that Suarez left under such unfortunate circumstances, my favorite player (Agger) left, Sturridge's glass body broke again, spent all that summer $$$ on young dead ends, Gerrard is leaving, dream shattering home and away kits, and rising ticket prices for shyte product on the pitch. Money ball won't ever work in the EPL.
Face it, unless they get new ownership with gobs of money, they will never be a recurring powerhouse. Their best projection is to generally finish 5-7 and hope that when one of the big clubs has a down year they can get into the top 4 (like last year). They simply cannot compete with the money at top, just like everyone else. Liverpool has history, of course, so still feel as if they are top 4 but City's sudden cash influx has changed that.
Huh? See this is the kind of nonsense I hate. Dude, I won't even get into the 4 major sports leagues in the US but just in the EPL alone I can think of five off the top of my head. Sturridge has his fair share of injuries but seriously? Darren Anderton,(the Godfather of sicknotes in the Premiership age), Jamie Redknapp, Kieron Dyer Michael Owen post wc 98, Jonathan Woodgate, Harry Kewell, Ledley King, Owen Hargreaves and then just in the last five or so years- Abou Diaby and Jack Wilshere. I mean if you think Sturridge is injury prone then you probably didn't watch much the last two decades because all the players I listed above would laugh and consider Sturridge to be at the junior level in terms of players eligible for the sicknote nickname.
Will ESPN have an on demand replay of the Barca/Bayern game online? Or will I just have to download it afterwards?
Rode out for few months, nice. So we'll play without Robben, Ribery, Alaba, Badstuber, Rode. Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Benatia, Martínez not in good shape, Lewandowski trying to play with a broken face. Hope we don't get murdered tomorrow, urgh.
I don't think it will be a few months for Rode. But yeah, we are pretty banged up. This is how I would play:
