That is because we still don't have a Big Power Forward. Last year it was LMA that killed us. This year it is Blake.

Unfortunately, JJ kept funneling him to Deandre and it kinda seemed (to me) like Deandre had him shook.

We don't have an answer for Griffin. Most other teams don't either.

The fact that we didn't have answers for Rivers/Barnes/Crawford is what's frustrating.

I agree 100%. If we can't stop Griffin we can at least try to stop everyone else. The Clippers rely on the pick and roll. It killed the spurs in game 7 and it killed us.

We don't even have someone who can contain him. Were going to lose because we are putting five people on Griffin and leaving shooters wide open.

I would rather Griffin dunk and destroy Jones than watch Clippers make dagger threes. Stop doubling. Please. Then again that's what LMA did and I didn't like that either.

We were being too soft on Griffin. Jones needs to be rough with him. I cannot stand open 3pts. Barnes turned into Curry tonight. Hack a Jordan hurt us more than it hurt them because we ended up not defending.

Hope this douche has to get micro fracture surgery and it screws up his career like it did T-Macs.

Austin Rivers.....Austin......Rivers....how the hell do you let this guy drop 17 points on you...let me say it again: Austin Rivers just scored 17 points in a playoff game and it was against the Houston Rockets. I literally couldn't believe what I was seeing.

In the other thread started by Clutch with the poll, I picked Clips in 6. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it

I felt like at least 5 three pointers were wide open because Harden was loafing around ball-watching. Back to his old habits.

Rockets need to step ****ing around, those behind-the-back passes, lazy passes, passes to nobody, jumping into the air, three straight posessions on the fast break (one even a 4 on 2) and we shoot the 3 three times (miss of course) and so much more...we looked like a young team who heard the news of Chris Paul out and just thought they had it in the bag. That is exactly why I wanted Chris Paul to play, Rockets are mentally soft and Clippers just took it to us. Referees called it fair, I saw little flopping and whining going on so if we had just taken care of the ball, Harden would've been invested in this game and used Howard more, we would've won easily.

We lose this series guaranteed, if we you cannot be focused for game 1 and without Chris Paul you lose, something is seriously wrong. The Cavs had a lot of rest and they looked like us in the 1st quarter, but guess what, they refocused themselves and played a good game the rest of the way.

He dropped 16 points in game 4 against the Spurs. Yeah 16 points.

Anybody else think we might have been more prepared for Chris Paul's Clippers instead of a no Chris Paul Clippers?

I almost feel like getting out of the first round WAS their goal. Team looked very relaxed and nonchalant, especially Harden and Howard was back to cheesing after mistakes on the court. What a bad way to start the series. This should have been a guaranteed win with Chris Paul out.

Where is the leadership? Who's taking responsibility of this team?

It's not as if these are new problems. It's still the same turn-overs, poor 3pt shooting, no teamwork, deteriorating defense.

We'll see if the team can respond.

Better yet where's the offensive system! This freestyle ball of 3pointers and paint shots didn't work last game. Clippers were playing tight on perimeter and falling back into paint when our players drove to rim. JJ reddick is giving harden troubles? MVP candidate? Curry killed reddick while harden is taking 5secomds just deciding what offensive moves to make. Rockets need a midrange shooting threat ASAP

71 points in the 2nd half to Clips without Paul and an exhausted depleted team.

That right there shows the team just expected to win without putting in effort since Paul wasn't playing. This team has no real leadership. When things are getting tough, neither Harden or Howard wants to take control. Howard is good on defense, but his offense is a trainwreck (unless he's getting alley-ops). Harden becomes passive and TO machine when he can't get past Redick's defense.

McHale is also terrible. How many times did the players jack up threes with like 20 seconds left on the shot clock? There were multiple instances where the guy with the ball takes a three while there's no one is underneath to even attempt to rebound and/or while the other 3 players are just crossing the half court.

All this falls on Morey. Everyone praises him for putting the team together even though his teams have yet to accomplish anything meaningful.
