    Nothing you say is incorrect.

However...I think it's fair to start expecting more consistently great play from Harden in the postseason, and I think that's the underlying reason people are frustrated. We're in year 3 of the Harden era. It is time for him to start consistently dominating the way you'd expect a Top 5 player to. A bad night here and there is fine, but against teams like the Clippers/Warriors/etc. you have to show up every single game.

Harden didn't have an awful game, but he hardly had a good game, and that's starting to become the norm, which is both concerning and frustrating.

I'm disappointed in the turnovers, but aside from that what he did is all time great statistically. Had we won the talk wouldn't be the same. 20/5/12/4 on excellent shooting is freaking unreal. 9 turnovers is bad. I'm not debating that. People are wildly overlooking the great because of the loss and turnover number.

The thing is...the 9 turnovers and numerous defensive lapses were large factors for the loss.

I'm Harden's biggest fan, and he has some truly absurd expectations to meet, but he's gotta meet them. We'll see what happens Wednesday.

Harden ain't playing well against the Clips. Don't get your hopes up guys. Maybe one of these games he will but he isn't all of a sudden going to turn it on against a team he has historically struggled against.

I'm mad too but it is what it is. Gotta Brewer or Smith or Howard have huge games and Harden gets his one good game in.

The great will always be over-shadowed by the bad things a players does. Them 9 turnovers cost us the game because the Clippers capitalized on every last one of them. Plus Harden didn't attack that rim like we know he could because of Jordan's presence down there. I am a big time Harden fan as well but he has to step it up a few notches if he wants to see past the 2nd round. He shouldn't have allowed us to lose this game. I don't care about the regular season accolades, win us a Championship. Or give it your 100% best trying. Meaning go down fighting.

Could this be another example of Harden shrinking on the big stage yet again? First it was the 2012 Finals then last year against Portland. He only played well in 2 games against the Mavs and now this.

Cant agree more. Look at Kobe. When his team was down 10 or 20 points in last two minutes, fire burns in his eyes and he would try to fight with everyone on the court.

Could you imagine if Harden had won the MVP and had this game?

He clearly doesn't deserve it more than Curry.

Yup, an MVP does not just let his team lose like this.

How many people in the history of the NBA are clutch, have that killer instinct and fire? Probably less than 10. There's numerous superstars and MVP's that folded when it mattered most. Drexler in 92 (my fav player btw), Malone couldn't match Jordan's desire, GP and Kemp, Barkley and KJ, Ewing, Robinson, etc.

There's a reason why Jordan, Dream, Bird, Magic, Duncan, Kobe, Shaq Etc are considered GOATS.

I'm okay with Harden not reaching GOAT status but you're right he's gotta be way more assertive and play with more passion than he did tonight. Realistically there's absolutely nobody that should be able to check him on the Clippers.

Curry's stats in the 5 games so far are ridiculous as well since he's actually had to play more. Watch Curry go off again tomorrow.... It's a given. Plus he took care of business against a team missing their starting pg coming off a longer layover.

He clearly does deserve it more than Harden.

That is true too. There were a lot of point blank layups missed, especially at the beginning. Gonna be a long wait until Wednesday night. They need to win the next two.

James Harden played upset tonight, you could see it in his face. He was still in shock over not winning the mvp. I hope that was him getting the ugly play out of his system and he channels his emotions appropriately throughout the rest of the series

It that was the reason for his poor play, then he is a joke of a player? What happened to team achievements above individual honours?

On the eve of game 1 of the second round, you sulk because you didn't win MVP?

Having said that, I have no idea whether not winning MVP was the reason he played terrible today. In fact, I'd probably lean towards him being poor just because he sucks against the Clippers.

Love James, but still somewhat doubtful that he has a "playoff gear." The Great ones all did. His performance last night was disgraceful. He was awful. Very nonchalant. Silly passes, defensive lapses.

with everybody trying to one up the others' mvp, can you imagine harden's speech?

" I want to thank summer. She can clap that booty like nobody in the state.
Also, cindi spelled with an "i", white girl can shake it.
Rico, the manager at the cheesecake factory, that always finds a table for me away from commoners wanting to take a selfie.
Thanks to my security team for keeping that sicko fran blogsbury at distance. when was the last time he had relevant article? yao's rookie year?
Before I forget, thanks to Mchale who has supported me always and keeps designing new plays for me.
    Oh and amber rose...uz a ho! "

Great players worry about ring not MVP trophies. Harden still has some maturing to do.
