Pretty easy to lose this game.

Rockets hear CP3 is out, think it's a gimme.

Meanwhile the Clippers all of them will play harder knowing what they have to make up for.

Yes it's a must win, playoffs though. Every game is a must win unless you have a 2-0, 3-0 cushion.

0-0 no reason to come out here with 'no effort'

Even before the Paul news, we have to win these two games at home. They are must wins. Hopefully we come out with a mission.

This game just launched into must-win status. Can't drop this opportunity without CP3 playing.

Without CP3 this is a 110% must win

    Nothing else is acceptable

If we do lose McHale needs to be fired on the spot

Need to come out of the gates strong and crush their hopes early.

Yep, this is a must win at so many levels: take advantage of Paul being out, Clippers playing on a short break, and home court. Essentially, the series is on the line out of the gate. If the Rockets let up, fart around, get careless, they could blow the series up front. Focus, intensity, hustle....let's do this.

Am I the only one who doesn't see this as a must win game? Yes the circumstances are extremely favorable to the Rockets but due to the inherent randomness of a single given NBA game we could just as easily lose this one and win G2 and G3 vs a full strength Clippers team. Then looking back it was not a must win G1.

In before vtexas09 predict to lose by 38 now. Citing the Clippers will play with more determination and the Rockets will play without a care in the world.

Again, Rox have to come out with a professional approach and take care of business. If the Rox come out slacking this will say a lot about where they are and if they should be taken seriously.

Don't say things like that- you have to stick to the obvious story- because, as we all know, there are never any surprises in the NBA. ;)

If we win the first 8 minutes, we're going to win the game.

Only way I can see the Clips winning this game is by jumping out to a 21-10 lead based on pure adrenaline. The Rockets have to be prepared to GO from the start and assert their dominance over this CP3-less Clips squad.

Must-win. Let's go James, show them what an MVP looks like.

It really better. Anything under 15-20 point margin is unacceptable. They were only six players deep with CP3. If it's close they'll gain confidence. Can't have that.

If the Rockets play this series like they did in game in game 3 and 4 of the first series they will get blown out by 15 to 25 in every game. I am going for the Rockets but I have a feeling they will win only one game. Rockets do not play with enough consistency to win this series.

Another thing is you need to hit a min of 75% of your FTs to win in the playoffs 10% to 20% and you lose in the playoffs just about every time.

It's Houston luck to lose this game without CP3 playing...
