OKC neutralized every matchup 2 years ago, and we didn't get swept.

Just because a team neutralizes matchups on paper, doesn't mean that someone comes out of the hole and tears it up.

If we go down 2-0 or 3-0, I highly doubt Rockets would cave in and lose the others. They will respond and can get a win.

The real question is, can we outperform the Clips 4 times regardless of what appears to be 'matchup neutralization' on paper?

 

I swear the national media has NO problem being complete dickwads when it comes to insulting the Rockets. Clowns like Markazi wouldn't DARE run their mouths like this against the Mavericks, Grizzlies, Thunder, etc. But since it's the Rockets, it's open-season? **** the haters, LET'S GET THIS!

Markazi covers pretty much every sports team in LA but definitely leans towards basketball. I wouldn't characterize him as a douche, he is just pandering towards his audience.

Also, he deserves some recognition for recording and releasing the Kate Upton "dougie" video

Ugh, these late night starts are a killer, especially since I live on the east coast. I'd hate for the Clippers fans to have to get home a little early.

Rockets bench will destroy the Clippers bench.

Jordan cannot guard both Harden and Dwight. That's just silly.

Griffin will not have near the athletic advantage against Smith and Jones that he did against Splitter and Diaw. In fact, the Rockets were 0-2 without Jones and Smith, and 2-0 with them.

With a hobbled CP3, I actually like Prigioni as an on ball defender. He can bring that same pesky D that Beverley gives us, and may not get punished for his lack of athleticism.

But really, think about when DeAndre sits. The Spurs didn't have the athletes to get to the rim. The Rockets will have a layup line every minute DeAndre is out. When he's on the court, you are assuming that Jordan can stop the Dwight PnR, when in reality we've never seen it.

 

That's the spirit! Just put a sign up saying service will only take place during breaks in play

 

Can't blame these espn knuckleheads, LAC did beat the defending champs. Predicting LAC winning is the 'safe' bet, just like Curry is the 'safe' vote for mvp

 

We've got 4 more hours to go before game time! (not really, because the previous game will no doubt cause things to run over a bit) This is a huge game. We really, really need to win the opener on our home court. My prediction? Rockets in 6.
