I agree with you on that. If the Rockets lose tonight, they are not winning this series. This is by far the easiest game they'll have against the Clippers.

Oh man, I despise "Fans" like you! Don't you think it would be better to post on the Clipps forum than posting crap like this? HOU or GTFO!

Just saw this. Looks like a late game small lineup without D.Jordan.

Dwight, Ariza, Brewer, Harden, Terry/Prig against that lineup.

I saw this yesterday and assumed it was old news on the bbs. Says that Bev has no chance of coming back this season. Is this not accurate?

Expecting Brewer and Harden to go off in this one
Howard will have his handsful with Deandre and Blake
Expect Crawford to have a big game
The Rockets win but by not much.

why are people still asking about bev? you worry about whose playing now and whats infront of you. not about the possibility of a player returning from injury way down the road that isn't even promised.

You're completely right. Game 1 and Game 2 are crucial. If you win every game at home, you move on. It's that simple. Well, it's never simple haha.

Just a tidbit from a person/friend I speak with. Not directly involved in this series but is related every chipmunk not named Theodore and Simon. He used to love the big LA city lights, but settled for the desert for awhile. Great guy, loves talking hoops if it's unrelated to his "team." Hope we see him soon...

Anyway: ( don't kill the messenger)

Depending on CP3's injury, Doc is putting a huge dose of Crawford at the one (because JT can't handle the speed at his age). James can't guard Jamal one-on-one, just like the rest of the league. Pablo is going to need help. This will cause foul trouble and a break down of our defense. Crawford penetrates better than anyone, even at his age.

And, the myth is that the Rockets are not a physical team: Doc is going to use a double-double, meaning, look for James to be doubled by Matt/JJ/someone else and Dwight is going to be harassed by DJ and Blake. Essentially, Doc is going to make guys like Trevor, Josh, TJ and Corey be the stars.

This is going to be a very, very physical series. I'm a bit concerned about how the Rockets will respond because Dallas was relatively soft. Dhantay Jones is going to be getting some minutes as well. Look at his history. He is now simply an enforcer that tries to disrupt talented guys like James,

Doc is DESPERATE to get out of the second round in LA. By any means necessary. I'd imagine that I will no longer be a fan if this plays out the way I've been told.

Despite his reputation of being one of the "good guys," Doc WILL be using Hack-A-Dwight. We're going to have to hope our coaches will convince...Kevin...to do the same with DJ. These games will be long if it goes on this way. I'll take my chances with Dwight. DJ has the intellectual capacity of a (insert elementary grade here).

The X-Factors in this series: Trevor, TJ, Josh, Corey ,but above all, DWIGHT HOWARD. This is his series to take and turn the clock back. Hence the recent workout with Hakeem and practicing beating the double team.
    ___________________________________________

My opinion:Kevin is really going to have to coach this time. Hopefully, he stands up and shows some interest. We are in a great spot. The only guy who should be sitting for quarters at a time is Phil Jackson.

We are very, very inexperienced in that realm of coaching in comparison to Doc. JB is going to have to convince Kevin to do things differently. We're not playing an injured Dallas group (including dysfunctional relationships) and Doc will maximize all of the mistakes Kevin makes in his substitutions, play-calling (or the lack of, unfortunately) and intensity. Kevin needs to step up the intensity for this to be a fight.

Here's the best part for us as Rockets fans. By now you've heard that James did NOT win the MVP. I find that to be a HUGE mistake. Curry had a great season, but he is NOT as valuable to his team as James is to the Rockets.

It was done strictly for endorsements and giving 10-16 year olds around the US the gunpower to say, "Hey, my favorite player won the MVP award." Probably followed by a, "Who's Dell Curry? Wait, Steph had a sharp-shooting father?"

As much as it pains me for James, this is going to MOTIVATE him. He is going to be pissed. We may see a Hakeem-esque series of James showing the world, Adam Sliver and the millions of bandwagon fans that HE deserved the award way more than the featherweight in Golden State. Draymond Green: All of your complaining sure paid off. I'm sure your new contract has a clause where you have to pay Steph for making your career. Just saying...

But again, this disappointment is going to fuel James. He won't admit that it matters to him and he'll congratulate Steph, but he's going to expose how pop culture effected the logic and analysis involved in the decision. It's a travesty. Just as bad as the Sea Princess winning the MVP over Hakeem.

The Rockets know James deserved the award. They'll make subtle mentions about it, but I'm confident that they will show it on the court.

I think Game 1 will show a monster game from James because of it, which is great for us loyal fans.

Josh Smith is going be our muscle and enforcer. He'll have to step up (again) as the refs allow Blake and DJ, oh yeah, and CP3, to fall the F all over the court.

If we win both games at home to start, we have a remarkable chance of advancing.

I wonder why I'm writing with such anger.

Oh wait, it's because I am having flashbacks of cowards like Stockton (CP3), Hornacek (Reddick), Malone (Blake), Ostertag (DJ), Raja Bell (Matt Barnes), Adam Okeefe (Spencer Hawes) Shandon Anderson without the jumper (Crawford) Big Dog before he was a Rocket (Big Baby) and a desperate Jerry Sloan (Doc Rivers, whom I respect as much as any true coach. He's a winner, everywhere.)

Yes, I'm choosing to affiliate this Clippers group of players that I individually despise with the Jazz. They are going to play dirty, and as much as I like Matt Barnes as a defender, shooter and leader, this is war.

    Rockets in....7

    Love ya'll.

The Clippers will have trouble getting away with that lineup against the Rockets because they'll have Dwight in the game.

I think in game 7 he played Center in the 4th quarter until the 2 min mark.

At this time of the year, if playing for championship can't motivate Harden to play as best as he can be, then nothing could.

I hope McHale is more flexible and try different strategies that work. Starting Josh Smith for example if Blake kills TJ.

I'd love to see a closing lineup with Blake at C, against Howard. Not only can Howard stay with him on the perimeter, but the Clippers suck at rebounding when Jordan is on the bench.
