Why this sudden interest in drawing Muhammad? Free speech just for the sake of exercising free speech isn't really something worth instigating violence over. Is that idea that the more they do it, the more Muslims will be desensitized to it?

Well, as distasteful as they are, when it actually does draw out loons who are willing to shoot up the event, then I'm glad the violent loons were stopped.

The fact that the art event was an event for a known bigoted group doesn't excuse any violence against them or their art. They have freedom of expression. They should be allowed to express their art even though it is bigoted. It's just like if Klan members drew offensive black characters and had an art exhibit, it wouldn't justify violence from folks that disagree.

Yeah, because an exhibition of Muhammad paintings in Texas is exactly the same thing as what you just made up. NOT. What would be comparable is if someone were to stage the same exhibition in Islamabad. Then perhaps you would have a point. But you don't.
