ClutchFans Game Thread: Clippers @ Rockets 5/4/2015 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 1)

The reason rivers doesn't see much time every game is because his defense isn't all that great. When he comes on we attack.

This is all matchups at this point and we have a versatile lineup that can win the matchup battle

 

Brewer should make things difficult for Crawford. If CP3 doesn't play game 1, you put Ariza on JJ Reddick.. Dwight may have a tough time against DeAndre.. but of course, time will tell. Blake Griffin is the huge question mark. Obviously T-Jones will be on him. But I see McHale throwing a lot of different schemes at him like he did with Dirk. Will be a good series. I've got Rockets in 6, especially if CP3's hamstring injury turns out to be worse than reported..

 

Yeah, i watched that segment - kind of annoying the Kenny automatically dismissed Ariza and Brewer. I expect CP3 to get a heavy dose of both of them throughout the series.

Not going to be as easy for the Clips as many "NBA Experts" believe.

They gotta come out with that same intensity.

 

I just don't know which way to lean. If we show up and mean business we can win. By mean business I mean no idiot decisions that lead to turnovers. No offensive Luls etc. if we can play 48 minutes of real defense instead of that garbage we played against Dallas and we take better care of the ball. Then I think we can win and shut all those cockwashers in the media up. If we fart around on D and make dumb decisions on offense. Then we go on vacation.

As far as the commentators doing the two NBA games today, the Rockets don't exist. All about the Clippers and every other team, but virtually no mention of the Rockets. You also get the feeling that they have crowned the Warriors and basically the rest of the playoffs is a waste of time. No doubt the Warriors appear to have an endless bench and seem unstoppable. But, you still have to play the games. May not be as easy as it looks today.

Confident we got this series.
Clips have no bench, CP questionable but not 100% and just come off a massive 7 game series.
If we play at pace the way we do, very confident we got this.

 

CP3 will kill us if Terry is guarding him. They love to do the pick and pop shot.

i'm starting to wonder if it might not just be better to let chris fall do whatever he wants on the court. let him try to singlehandedly win this game on one leg, while getting minimal assists. i'd rather have him take 25 shots and be dead tired late in the 4th with the rest of the clips players out of rhythm, especially their shooters.
