Thanks for the ammo ESPN! Your vitriol will serve as our fuel. I'm sure the presses will be out in full force too, to blame it all on Chris Paul's injury should we happen to take them out. Come on Rockets, nothing's changed. Us v Them. Make Them sad.
Meh, didn't they all tip the spurs to win also? Can't really blame them for going with LAC, they did just beat the defending champs...
they said we where going to regress this year( Ends up second seed) they said the beard wasnt a top 10 player (In discussion for mvp) They picked mavs to beat us. we been the underdog all year long and im fine with that
This doesn't paint the Rockets as villains. It just says they expect the Clips to win. It's being an underdog ... Not a villain. It's hard to objectively watch the first round and not say the Clippers did indeed play a better brand of basketball. But the Rockets did what they had to. You get who you get. The Rockets played both teams ok in the regular season and are also playing really well. And Dwight is healthy. And as well as the Clippers have played, they take a bunch of moronic shots. Long jumpers, etc. And they obviously don't rebound well with Jordan out. The Clipoers have faults too. We'll see... And I like Bri g the underdog
Who cares what ESPN writes. And I never met any neutral NBA fan that liked this Clipper team. If you are not from LA there is no way you can watch this flopping whining and dirty sneaky CP3 and cheer for them.
I don't know many of those journalists and don't really care. We play our best team ball we win with hca
With the homer glasses off, the Rockets weren't able to covincingly blow out a one legged Mavs team. The Mavs had chances at winning those games. Yes, the Mavs only took a solitary game, but it's worrisome how the Mavs were able to blow out the Rockets at all.
Same can be said for any team in the second round. Homer glasses or not, you don't have to be self loathing.
Sure... and only a slightly better version of that Mavs team took the Spurs to 7 last year, when nobody else could come close to that. The Rockets are by no means close to being a perfect team... but that's what's kinda fun about them. They have another level of basketball that they haven't gotten to yet... comes with time/focus/playoff experience. Whenever the Rockets end up losing in the playoffs (if at all), it will be a great learning experience.
It's not unreasonable to see why neutral viewers/media would favor the Clippers in this series without being a "hater".
Seemed out of place, but thanks for turning us on to DJ Bri-G: https://myspace.com/djbrig/music/songs
Everything I've heard since the Rockets advanced has suggested they were drawing dead to whoever won Clips/Spurs. But I think we match up well with both of these teams. Cp3 could give us trouble but Ariza did play perfect D on him in the clutch earlier this season.
The media usually picks who they want to see in the next round, not necessarily who will win. That's human nature. And I think right now Chris Paul is the story. The Clippers do have a good starting 5. Think they are basically a very similar team to us in that they are an athletic team. Reminds me of Lousiville vs. Cougars. Should be a lot of fun. But we have the better closer.
