I was hoping May would just knock Pac out just so I would have a semblance of excitement in my day. This is the first time ever in my life i ever felt excited watching my washing machine spin around after that fight.
you're talking about like 3 different things, none of which are particularly relevant to deciding who wins a boxing match. winner isn't determined by the reasons fans by tickets. scroll up a few posts and look at the Compubox stats. you're an idiot if you thought that fight was close by any measure.
I don't think anyone here is really 'mad' or doesn't get the scoring. It's just that no one cares. I was so entertained I decided to get some work done while watching on a 2nd screen. At least I gave it a shot. Maybe the next time I do this, 2 guys will just run around staring at each other and then take a chance on a punch in the final seconds of the 12 round to truly play it safe.
I wanted manny to win but there was no way he won that fight... Mayweather was the clear victor despite it being a very boring fight
I understand Floyd won the match. Did he weaken or knock down Pac? Not at all. They could both fight tomorrow. This was a glorified fencing match. You can combine violence, which is undeniably the allure of the sport, with skill. It's not an either/or proposition. I should probably be annoyed by the promoters for selling the public on a fight where the outcome was obvious.
so now boxing is about knocking someone down? id football all about scoring 50+ points? is basketball all about scoring 120+ points? is soccer all about scoring 7+ goals? some of ya'll just have a very limited view on what boxing is. every single time after a PBF fight people come here crying about the same stuff like this is the first time watching a mayweather fight. face it, a lot of you thought pacquiao would destroy floyd and are salty that floyd manny look just as average as the other great fighters he outclassed. this is BOXING. not a STREET FIGHT. just give him props and keep it moving. or not. he doesn't care, his money is gonna be there and his status as one of the best of this generation is still going to be intact.
Outclassed? LOL Mayweather didnt even stun him once. Pac had a chance to end the fight. Mayweather was nowhere close. Boxing blows.
mayweather threw more punches, landed more punches, at a higher percentage. this fight wasn't even close.
i gave manny like 2-3 rounds tops. other than that it was a wash. for so many people that say PBF has no power pacquaio sholl wasn't wasn't walking through them like people said he was.
You just referenced a wikipedia blurb lol. Simple fix: They should just box until somebody gets knocked out or throws in the towel. No round limit. Right?
keep imagining people being mad about Mayweather winning or whatever the hell you are claiming. Most people complaining could care less who won because they don't follow boxing. stop comparing boxing to traditional sports, it's not and never will be the same thing. There's nothing debatable about putting a ball into a basket, or kicking a ball into a goal. no matter how much elitist bullshet you spew, boxing was created as a legal form of fighting, and fighting is all about dealing about dealing pain and damage to the opponent. people are complaining because they came to see a fight, and all they saw was a whole lot of hugging, and back pedaling while light jabs that doesn't even phase the other person. If this is the road boxing is going down, either rules should be changed to encourage actual fighting, or else it will stagnate and lose more fans like it already has in the past decade.
people don't care who won the fight but were basically protest that floyd fights manny, writing essays, about how manny would destroy floyd. people don't care who won but watched the fight and his in this thread complaining about a fight that they don't care about........ hmmmm. i don't care about hockey at all, that's why i don't post in hockey threads.
