I would have taken him here. You can always cut him if he gets charged. If he doesnt, then you are calling his bluff he wouldn't sign as a 5th rounder.
Strong isn't a slot WR. He's an outside WR, doesn't break away from coverage much, but catches whatever is thrown to him. Gets vertical just like Hop.
Not a fan of this pick. I think we'd be better suited getting Michael Bennett, and picking up a slot guy in laters rounds or after the draft. Would rather have Shane Wynn over Mumphrey.
Not sure Washington of D. Jonson are on the roster in the end. With Hop, Strong, Shorts, and now Mumphery you've got maybe one extra slot for a WR. I think they keep Mumphery solely off his ST ability and his versatility to play RB too. Could have another practice guy squad push for that 5th spot. Since they're most likely to keep 4 TEs on the roster.
Ifo Ekpre-Olomu should go soon. The Texans might as well draft him and work on his knee for a few years.
He's stupid, this ain't baseball. You can only be eligible once. Obrien should take him with the second sixth round pick

I think Mumphrey will get a lot of reps at RB in preseason and of course go out into the slot. Expect they'll use him a lot like they used Arian last year. Nice pick for the system. Very surprised they haven't picked an OLB - they must believe Mckinney or Cushing can play OLB or feel really good about Clowney's health. Also surprised they didn't pick a return man. Chris Polk must be their guy. The other need at this point is Oline depth. I would imagine these last few picks and UDFA will address these needs like last year.
