The Texans needed to have a more offensive draft. I don't see how the players drafted make the team better. The Texans have no offensive punch. They are content with staying stuck in the mud.

Patriots outside of the first round don't draft that well, if you look at it. Perhaps that's a function of picking late every round, but a large part of their skill in crafting a roster seems to come from signing veterans who can play but whose stock is down (Revis) or has been hurt by off the field stuff. Miraculously they've been able to turn guys around like Moss, like Aqib Talib, Etc. And then they put these pseudo-retreads who are actually really good and place them around their highly drafted guys like Wilfork, Mayo, Chandler Jones, Mankins, Solder, Gronkowski, etc.

So really very little of the Patriots success, outside of Tom Brady, came from drafting in the mid to late rounds.

The Patriots just drafted a long snapper out of Navy.

I would prefer John Harris over Shipley if we go the route (pun intended) of Texas wide receivers. Both are decent possession receivers, but John Harris is better at getting separation. I guess Shipley would be useful as a punt returner also, but he was never explosive like his brother Jordan.

I've gotten so much done since the draft started at 11, and I'm still waiting on this damn pick. I'd like to get interior o-line depth or a de.

I like Mumphery. Versatile, probably a slot guy but can also play a little bit of RB.

Texans already had this exact same WR. His name is Travis Labhart. I hate this pick a lot. After giving up so many picks, they really needed to do something here for depth, and this wasn't it.

Probably going to be a Special Teams guy if anything.
