Not sure how this movie doesn't have it's own thread. Last two X-Men movies were great and last Wolverine movie was good too. So I'm excited that this franchise seems to have turned around. Looking forward to it.
No they weren't. First Class was solid, but had plenty of issues. Days of the Future Past was more "star" mongering, with crazy plotholes. Will I watch it? Yep. Are they at least a tier below anything Marvel is releasing from their studios? Yeeeeeeeeeeeep. Can't wait for another 3 hours of Mystique-o-vision. Did you have any doubts?
i disagree, i'd say 90% of movies have plot holes, last two x-men were far better than the previous trilogy
First Class was surprisingly good and fresh. Days of Future Past was too much JLaw fan service studio deep throating. The future Sentinels had Rogue's powers, not Mystique's. Still liked it, though.
Ding. Don't forget the fact that Quicksilver could have ended the entire final conflict by himself, but it was "too dangerous" for him. Yeah, k.
Of course movies have plot holes, but the plot holes in those movies are glaring. First Class was better than DotFP in that regard. And if you care about the comics at all (I do) both movies completely shat on all of the comics. At least the Marvel Studios movies try to make sense when they change the stories significantly.
Haha yeah, Quicksilver was super OP. It was still a good movie, though. It's probably my third favorite X-Men movie. #1 is X2, #2 is First Class, #3 Days of Future Past. But yeah, the bar is terribly lower for the X-Men movies than the Avengers.
I agree with your order too. I might like First Class the best out of the bunch honestly, despite the stupid changes. The classic suits on the beach with Magneto launching missles was pretty awesome. (Too bad they only showed the ending 8,000 times in the trailers)
Yeah, I've really loved the last 2, a step up from the first 3. In fact I've liked all of them except Last Stand and the first Wolverine (god that was terrible). If they hadn't made a complete mockery out of my favorite character (Rogue) I would have loved the original trilogy almost as much.
Marvel knows what they are doing, Since Ironman 1 it's been nothing but good movies, aside from the first Wolverine movie.
