Lin is Taiwanese-American. He is still popular as an Asian playing in the NBA, but the Rockets were the home of Yao Ming, a person considered to be a national treasure by China.

Lin is from palo alto, home to facebook, google, apple, and other multi billion dollar companies.
Palo altoans are the richest per capita people in the usa. A one bedroom apartment cost $3000 a month.
One palo altoan makes 100,000 times as much as one person from China.

On top of that these rich ass kids feel entitled

cant help but feel this is a sad attempt at mocking Chinese people. I'm Chinese and never heard of the term "mother tongue".

Precisely what he meant - I don't expect even an intermediate level ESL (eng as second language) speaker to use the idiom "mother tongue" so casually. "Mother language" would be less suspicious.

Well then you would be wrong because mother tongue is a direct translation of how you describe your first spoken language in mandarin.

You are right. Technology aid ftw! Obviously OP posts chinese here, and is from China. In other words ESL posters today can use more advanced terms than they know, with google translate.

I also just meant OP is more advanced in English than many.

more advanced terms than they know? If anything mother tongue is a chinese saying and the most common way to describe what we would call first language.

to reassure you suspicious minds, the ip locaiion is overseas in asia, it is not just some random american posting this.

you guys have gotten so cynical. We used to see stuff like this posted all the time back when Yao was around and very few people were suspicious of the motivation.

Yao Ming was a star, during a stretch even superstar on the court.

Off the court easily god like status. Plus he is the tallest guy that has skills in basketball history.

Jeremy just had a brief ejaculation. He cannot hold a candle to that.

You guys are cynical. It was a beautiful video and with Chinese characters from a site in China, how the heck is someone going to fake that. What happened to giving people the benefit of the doubt?

And the irony that Lin has to be brought up. It's like some have to keep torturing fans of players they didn't like who don't even play for the team anymore.

How many years have you been living in the USA now and are working there?
I'm German and think many non-native speakers know the term" mother tongue", you might have to expand your vocabulary.

And hotballa, it does help to repeat yourself when expanding your vocabulary. Practice makes perfect.
