Lol who is gonna be able to answer that? Just read the JJ Watt draft thread. I love the posts of disgust about this pick like anyone has any idea how good our pick is. Hilarious.

Guess you don't remember KJ as a rookie.

DB's do need to be eased in... and Texans will play plenty of nickel to allow for that.

    Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 188.
    40 Time: 4.52.
    Projected Round (2015): 1.
4/25/15: Sources labelled Johnson as having no weakness in his game but that he just needs to add some weight to his frame. WalterFootball.com knows some teams picking in the top 20 that are giving consideration to Johnson and feel that he is going to be a very good outside corner in the NFL.

At the Combine, Johnson didn't impress or hurt himself. He recorded 43 tackles with six passes broken up and one interception in 2014. Johnson is a good cover corner who needs to add heft for the NFL.

Johnson is a tall corner who has long arms, quick feet, physicality and speed. He can match up with speed receivers and blanket them in and out of their breaks. He runs the routes with receivers and prevents them from getting separation. Johnson has quick feet and is agile. He can flip his hips open and run with receivers down the field. Johnson also is is tall and physical to take on big receivers. He is an asset in the red zone and able to win the 50-50 throws. He also is a willing run-defender.

Johnson recorded 58 tackles with three interceptions and 12 passes broken up in 2013. He was an honorable mention All-ACC selection. As a sophomore, Johnson had 58 tackles with 15 passes broken up and three interceptions. He was ruled academically ineligible the year before.

Personal: Son of Kevin and Judy Johnson. Majoring in communication.

You need to be able to tackle to play nickel. Johnson doesn't seem to be able to do that.

he is not going to have the pressure like Kjax did in his first year so he has time to grow in the position. i can already hear it on radio..."why did we draft a guy who isn't even starting!!! what a waste of a pic i'm done with this team."

In today's NFL you can NEVER have enough good corners. Great cover skills but dude has got to get better at tackling.

I dunno anything about this dude so I'm kind of indifferent about him. I felt this was about JJ too so hopefully, we get the same outcome.

You'd kick Kareem inside in the nickel.

Kareem played Nickel CB a lot. I'd actually expect to see Johnson on the outside a lot with Kareem rotating in.

Seems to be par for the course in any draft: 50% will like it, 50% will hate it, and 100% will have no idea how the player will actually turn out

I seem to remember PFF rating him as very, very good outside and not very good in the slot. Could be faulty memory though.

Could be, but they did it last year and could very well do the same thing this year.

Our DB corps is completely made over, and with guys who can hopefully make plays on the ball. I thought most of us had high hopes for Bouye and Hal though.

Other than Gurley, Winston, and Williams all these others players people have been talking about are "meh" to me and I'm assuming Romeo had some say, so I'm fine with the pick and you can never have to many DB's.

    Doubtful.

But if so, maybe for Kendricks late? Would be nice.
