If Smith is smart, he will sign a one year contract and when the cap rises, cash in with the Rockets. Unless he wants to potentially go through what happened in Detroit again. We are also forgetting that Detroit is STILL paying him next year. He seems genuinely happy and at peace here and for someone who is already making the money, that happiness can go a loooooong way for the Rockets's chances in signing him.
Josh has a bit of that Vernon Maxwell crazy lack of conscience that can help in the tense moments of playoffs. Aside from that he has all the skills and physical talent and that has been widely known in the league for years.
That is our hope. I believe Dwight's health and presence will persuade him to stay in Houston if all continues as it is.
I think he will continue to be good to great josh may actually be a 'Glue' guy for this team Rocket River
Perfect sixth man. Comes in and runs the offense. Creates shots for himself and others. Really does it all except shoot free throws.
Is it a given he will stay? I know the rationale behind why he might, but it all depends on if there are no stupid crazy offers. We are talking about millions of dollars he is potentially turning down to stay here, even with the money from Detroit.
