Everything you wrote is on point and correct.
He has been working on his shot, especially more so the 2nd half of the season and his confidence in it (along with Carlisle's confidence in him) is what we saw in the playoffs.

Anyway, I hope he makes a right choice. Either way, we (Houston) are blessed to have both Ariza and Brewer imo and I wouldn't trade those two for any SF that isn't already a legit all-star or on the verge of making an all-star team in the next couple of years. (LBJ, Kawhi, Giannis, etc).

    I can tell you this...

The kid is the real deal and has improved every year on both ends....

Don't get fooled by the stats and also think that his play in the playoffs was a one time deal...

If this kid wants to come to Houston I would grab him, i've seen him play the 2,3 and 4 position.

I can't see him going to the Spurs(unless he's cool with remaining a reserve). They already have Kawhi at the 3. If they lose Green, they'll need to replace him with a reliable 3-point shooter. Aminu has improved, but he's nowhere near Green's level right now.

The Knicks have Melo, so I'm not sure where he'd fit on that team either. But someone's gonna scoop him up. I would say the Wizards would be a good fit if Pierce retires, but then again, they may wanna save that money and starting spot at the 3 for 2016 when Durant is a free agent.

As the Warriors have shown, having a collection of 6'6" to 6'9" guys who are versatile and able to play in the perimeter is a great way to be highly efficient on both sides of the ball.

Having so many guys in that height range really allows a team to switch everything on defense and keep defenses completely spread.

I would love to have him here. Dude can be a poor-man's Draymond Green without the annoying smugness.

Quiet as it's kept, he would be a serious upgrade over Ariza.

Based on what? He was a hot shooter for a week against the Rockets, but other than that he's been a pretty poor offensive player.

And your results are based on what???? And please don't say you went out and looked at his stats

I've watched the kid grow for a couple of years... More this year, since he's with the Mavs and I get a chance to go to so many games (Corporate reasons)... He doesn't force a lot of shots, plays within the game and his defense is really growing....

He brings energy off the bench and helps Tyson greatly on defense, his problem is that he plays behind Dirk and Parson's...

Stats don't tell the entire story...

I think it would be ideal to have Aminu to continue coming off the bench behind Ariza until he's ready to take over/Ariza slows down.

One thing he can definitely replicate from this playoffs is his high energy defensive play

Exactly, remember Jerome James, hell we made this mistake with our very own Trevor Ariza.

He is a Trevor Ariza... would be slightly better than Trevor. However, Trevor has vet presence out on the court.

Can he guard 4's? He was most effective when he had the length advantage

He would be an ok addition on the Rockets for a bargain deal.

But a better signing for the Rockets would be scaring Cuban into giving him a max contract.

And Trevor is a better shooter.
