You must not follow the Texabs closely if you truly think this. Sure, if X improves and Jones makes seamless transition to Center, we may be OK. But with Meyers leaving our depth on the OL is shot.

lol, look at all the gibberish you posted about Bridgewater. You already had to backtrack once after he proved you wrong his rookie season.

Actually I do follow them. Jones natural position is C and one of the main reasons why we let Myers go was to give him a shot at C. Erving will be a C in the NFL. Any other position he will be average. We are set at every position on the OL. Erving would be a stupid pick if a pass rusher, or Trae Waynes is still on the board. Not to mention I would rather take WR's like Dorsett, DGB and Nelson Agholor over him.

Thats why it would be best to address OL later for depth. We have bigger needs than OL on this team.

LOL at what point did he "prove me wrong"? I said all along that he's probably the best QB in a bad class and that he'd be Alex Smith 2.0.....how was that inaccurate other than the fact that Alex Smith is more careful with the football and throws fewer picks?

OL in Rd 1 would surprise me, but not shock me.

DHB would shock me. The guy is a bad apple. I don't want to root for him and I can't imagine Bob McNair signing off on him.

    Oh. My. God.

Please, not the Teddy Bridgewater stuff again. Please guys, just don't address Bobby on these issues anymore. It's destroyed this forum.

Look at this current depth chart and tell me Cameron Erving isn't a position that would be useful. It's really two players short but there is always a late release veteran like Clabo you can add.

    LT Duane Brown Jeff Adams
    LG Xavier Su'a-Filo
    C Ben Jones
    RG Brandon Brooks Xavier Su'a-Filo
    RT Derek Newton Tyson Clabo

I want an OLB but a good one would have to fall because of a run on WR's I guess, or a top WR if they fell because of a run on OLB's. I want DGB but they won't do it. I'm prepping for Erving because it looks likely he will be the BPA at 16.

I saw the TCU/Wisconsin Rose Bowl and Watt was a non-factor. I don't think his ascendance was predictable. It was by sheer force of will he made himself into the best player in the NFL. Every player will talk the talk, you don't know that they will walk the walk until they do it.

Irving is going to be a C in the nfl. Like I said, any other position he will be average to bellow average. We are set at OT.

So if a WR and pass rusher along with Trae Waynes is there at 16, would you be pissed? We need an upgrade at WR more than an upgrade OL.

    I'm hoping for true BPA:
Want one of the top WRs OR Bud Dupree/Vic Beasley OR Trae Waynes OR Todd Gurley.

I hope people call for Rick Smith's head if Erving is the pick.

It's really not me, it's the crazy Vikings fans here that won't let it go. They keep bringing up the Texans passing on Vince Young over and over again.

    Me too.

If I were a GM, I would always use free agency to address immediate needs and always draft BPA, no matter the position.

Just don't boo if it happens, it wouldn't be horrible.

It's just with Gregory and Ray falling out of favor and the drop in WR value if Cooper/White/ Parker are gone there may not be a BPA at OLB or WR when we pick.

With the Texans being my second team I think they should go with a trade back and try to get Kendricks from UCLA.

I agree, but then bobby shouldn't call out other people for their poor evaluation of draft picks when his own record has been less than stellar.

I have said this all along DGB is the offensive weapon we need. There is legit interest from the Texans stand point I believe. It just takes BOB and Rick to convince McNair to sign off.

....actually mine has been pretty solid, but feel free to cry about me calling people out for being totally off base about the best defensive player in the NFL.
