I think they should just add tip automatically at 15% to our bills, and if others want they can leave more.

Waiters generally get paid 2 dollars an hours, and they don't see any it because it all goes to taxes (and more depending how much your making).

If you don't tip your basically stealing from a most likely minimum wage worker, no matter if it's really poor service or food is, you don't steal. Make a complaint to the manager, don't come back again, but don't take money out of low waged workers pocket.

I haven't been back to any BWW since the time I went to watch a Rockets playoff game (against the j*zz, I believe) and they only had 1 TV showing it on the back patio. All the other TVs in the entire place were on some lame douchebag UFC fight.

Damn breh. Never had any bad experiences at BWW other than parking (at the village). Glad I never went the takeout route.

Used to live in the states but no longer, and now the whole tipping culture seems kind of weird.

What if you were legally paid less than minimum wage on your job, and the rest of your pay was dependent on whether your client or customer felt you earned that "extra" money, and this evaluation took place every 30 minutes?

And on top of that, there was no real legal recourse if someone decided not to award you this added pay, for whatever arbitrary reason? And when they do offer you this extra sum, they mostly do it because they feel sorry for you?

    Just weird.

Because I've worked in the industry, know people in the industry. I like to build relationships with my servers especially at places i go to often. Money goes a long way in that area.

What is the largest anyone here has tipped (in percent terms) on a bill over 50 USD?

That is some traitorous BS especially with that matchup. UFC fight nights at sports bars are the worst if you are trying to watch something else. The affliction crowd usually tries to start fights after a few beers with the people around them. I finally became a fan of UFC but I still can't stand half of the fanbase.

I have been since and had no issues. That location just didn't have it together that day.

It seems like people who say "if you give me an attitude you get no tip" are either cheap and looking for a reason not to tip or are paying too little attention to their partner. I've only had that bad of a service experience a handful of times.

I tipped the guy at Autozone today $10 for excellent service. If you can afford it and the employee is working their ass off be a good person and reward them. You aren't getting scammed and will probably build future goodwill.

Having worked at restaurants the cheap tippers are known by every employee. People will go out of their way to screw up your service, and I don't mean by spitting in your food. You'll just get no attention.
