Texans have a good track record in the 1st round. Since 2008: Duane Brown, Brian Cushing, Kareem Jackson, JJ Watt, DeAndre Hopkins. Jury still out on Clowney due to injury. The only one that really hasn't lived up to the pick is Whitney Mercilus, but he's not exactly a bust either. I'm comfortable with the Texans decision making in the first round. I'm more skeptical of what they do in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
... also reported Matt Schaub will replace Peyton Manning as starter this year. Can't wait, one more day!
No way that happens. One of the jets, bears, rams, or browns would take him for sure before he reaches the teens.
We've heard that before. Teams are getting smarter about not reaching for questionable quality QB's in the early first. I could see him falling, but even if he did, I wouldn't want him.

Heh, don't get it twisted, I'm not willing to bet on it. NFL FO's are too unpredictable for that, I'm just saying that it wouldn't be shocking to me if he fell.
Am I the only one who gets more excited about the next three days than I would about say some hypothetical week 9 road game against a 2-6 Detroit Lions team with nothing on thn line? I'm defiantly more pumped for the next few days than I get for preseason game #4 every year.
Absolutely. Sadly, I'd say that I'm more excited for these days than the first game of the regular season. The hope and potential is just intoxicating.
I think the thing I'm most excited for is just to see what O'Brien does. In large part he's the main culprit pulling the strings here. Last year, he almost had to pick Clowney. This year, as I've said before, I think the Texans are in a no man's land. I think Gurley and the receivers will be gone earlier than our pick. I think Dorset will be gone by the beginning of the second. I don't think Perriman or Agholor are a reach. Will O'Brien go for an offensive lineman (Cameron Erving is who I could see us picking), or a corner like Kevin Johnson? Or will we trade back and pick up value, giving us the possibility to land someone like McKinney AND Dorset? Ahhh.... The intrigue of the draft...
If there is better talent on the board, I just hope the Texans don't feel obligated to draft Breshad Perrriman or Jalean Strong. They are both solid players, but each come with their own concerns.
Between the Rockets and Astros, I haven't paid one bit of attention to what the Texans are doing or the draft in general. It's a good thing.
