The Warriors were able to be low key because the media kept jamming it in our ears that Curry was going to win MVP since the 2nd week of the season. Warriors had free "Curry for MVP/Best Player Ever" endorsements all season with those Jamie Fox - Under Armour and State Farm Commercials. James Harden had a 10 second plug about how awesome the breakfast at Taco Bell is.. And people like Zach Lowe wonder why Houston fans get angsty about our lack of media attention..

Having watched the promotional video, it is stylish, but it is also chock-full of hard DATA showing Harden's overwhelming dominance and value to his team this season. Data, not anecdotes. Are these guys going to ignore all of that (don't answer that) because it came in a slick package instead of a boring press release? Morey's answers are, of course, efficient and slicing.
These writers can eat a fatty. There's nothing wrong or even unusual about a team promoting its players to the media.
